"AWS support is decent, but it's not as good as before. Sometimes, we get junior staff who are unable to answer our questions. It also depends on the support team you get. Support based in Europe and Australia is better than US support. For example, European support is quick to deliver the right answer. US support handles routine maintenance issues, and it's mostly junior staff who don't know the product well."
"The Performance Monitor they have is a little clanky, at least in regards to the UI."
"In the next release, it would be great to see RDS provide connection pooling out of the box."
"The product should support new databases."
"The initial configuration fine-tuning for performance can be time-consuming."
"MongoDB Atlas should improve its user experience by providing better explanations or a wizard for people working with its UI."
"They could explore ways to facilitate deploying MongoDB containers within the platform."
"In the past, MongoDB offered more features for free, but now it's quite limited. The free version is limited, and you need to pay extra to fully utilize it. The pricing could be improved."
"Going forward, we would like to have pure AWS Cloud (native) storage instead regular storage on the AWS integration side."
"The biggest challenge we all have is an application layer level. One node is sitting in the APAC region, another node is sitting in the US and UK region. The seamless replication has to be lightning fast, but we haven't tested the scalability yet."
"One improvement that I would like to see is a feature to export changes made in the environment, such as creating a new user."
"The replica side, like the venue, can be improved."
