We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It is fairly simple. Anybody can use it.""The mean time to detect has been reduced.""I did a lot of research before signing up and doing the demo. They have a good reputation as far as catching threats early on.""PingSafe offers three key features: vulnerability management notifications, cloud configuration assistance, and security scanning.""The most valuable features of PingSafe are the asset inventory and issue indexing.""Cloud Native Security's most valuable features include cloud misconfiguration detection and remediation, compliance monitoring, a robust authentication security engine, and cloud threat detection and response capabilities.""PingSafe offers comprehensive security posture management.""As a frequently audited company, we value PingSafe's compliance monitoring features. They give us a report with a compliance score for how well we meet certain regulatory standards, like HIPAA. We can show our compliance as a percentage. It's also a way to show that we are serious about security."

"AKS as a service is very good when you need to leverage applications or functions with much variability in their usage because you're trying to be as efficient as you can with resources.""The product has built-in functionality that checks whether the service is available or not. In case the service is down, the tool will create a new instance by default. Hence, the web API will be always up irrespective of the server or the situation.""It is easy to maintain the solution.""The product’s most valuable features are ease of use and automation.""It is easy to deploy.""We like how easy it is to create the resources in this solution, thanks to how easy the UI is to use.""Has a good management feature monitored by the cloud service provider.""AKS is easy to use. We can scale up and down as needed with AKS, which saves us money on our cloud costs."

"There is a lot that it can do, but endpoint protection is the main thing about it. The fact that it uses machine learning and artificial intelligence to monitor and remediate the issues in real-time is probably the bread and butter of the product.""The most valuable feature of CrowdStrike Falcon Cloud Security is its lightweight sensor, taking minimal space and not impacting server performance.""CrowdStrike utilizes signatureless technology, eliminating the need for regular signature updates on endpoint systems.""Cloud security is one valuable feature. Spotlight is the other one. There is also vulnerability management and a couple of more features.""The initial setup is easy .""The most valuable feature of Falcon Cloud Security is its comprehensive threat-hunting ability.""Cloud security posture management (CSPM) is most valuable.""It is fully cloud-based, so we don't need to invest in third-party agents repeatedly."

Cons
"I'd like to see better onboarding documentation.""There is room for improvement in the current active licensing model for PingSafe.""Their search feature could be better.""There's an array of upcoming versions with numerous features to be incorporated into the roadmap. Customers particularly appreciate the service's emphasis on intensive security, especially the secret scanning aspect. During the proof of concept (POC) phase, the system is required to gather logs from the customer's environment. This process entails obtaining specific permissions, especially in terms of gateway access. While most permissions for POC are manageable, the need for various permissions may need improvement, especially in the context of security.""We've found a lot of false positives.""I used to work on AWS. At times, I would generate a normal bug in my system, and then I would check PingSafe. The alert used to come after about three and a half hours. It used to take that long to generate the alert about the vulnerability in my system. If a hacker attacks a system and PingSafe takes three to four hours to generate an alert, it will not be beneficial for the company. It would be helpful if we get the alert in five to ten minutes.""The Automation tab is an add-on that doesn’t work properly. They provide a list of scripts that don’t work and I have asked support to assist but they won’t help. When running on various endpoints the script doesn’t work and if it does, it’s only a couple. There are a lot of useful scripts that would be beneficial to run forensics, event logs, and process lists running on the endpoint.""The main area for improvement I want to see is for the platform to become less resource-intensive. Right now, it can slow down processes on the machine, and it would be a massive improvement if it were more lightweight than it currently is."

More SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security Cons →

"The initial setup of AKS is complicated. The setup depends on the cluster, nodes, and lots of other things. There are also lots of extremely critical small devices. Moreover, you will have to pay them even while setting up the solution. It is not like you setup first and then pay for it.""AKS could enhance its functionality by introducing a blueprint feature that streamlines and expedites the process. With a blueprint, users can leverage pre-defined configurations, including some common survey elements, reducing the need for extensive customization and allowing us to focus on our core business activities. Additionally, if the blueprint covers security aspects, it would be greatly beneficial, as it eliminates the need for us to build security expertise from scratch. Currently, we encounter challenges during cloud onboarding, security implementation, and adapting to Kubernetes. Although Microsoft may not consider these as their direct responsibility, providing a blueprint similar to what they offer to developers would be highly advantageous.""This is a fairly expensive solution, which can make it prohibitive for smaller organizations.""The application firewall is lacking some features and there is room for enhancement.""The initial setup is complex.""One area that could be improved is the Azure CLI. It would be beneficial if they could abstract some of the complexities related to deployment scripts and make them a part of Azure CLI.""I would like to see the stability get more synchronized.""There are some limitations with the tutor version, particularly in terms of using a lot of free audio. The private level also has restrictions, limiting the number of audio files you can access to just 50. If you want more, you need to contact support."

More Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Cons →

"The only suggestion for improvement would be the pricing.""The CrowdStrike dashboard currently lacks a username field.""There should be cloud storage scanning. We would like to have cloud storage vulnerability and threat management on any cloud storage.""The threat intelligence and user behavioral analysis could be more comprehensive.""Incorporating threat intelligence into the system would be a valuable addition.""It would be more convenient if there was an easier way to install CrowdStrike, perhaps through better integration with Active Directory.""CrowdStrike Falcon Cloud Security is expensive.""It gets the work done, but the main problem with the solution is that if you remediate anything, it takes 45 days for you to get any of the features displayed on the dashboard. This is the real weakness of CrowdStrike. Their customer support is also not ready to help with it. If you remediate any cloud vulnerability that they are giving you, such as removing a host from your organization, it takes around 45 days for them to remove it from their console."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "As a partner, we receive a discount on the licenses."
  • "It's a fair price for what you get. We are happy with the price as it stands."
  • "I wasn't sure what to expect from the pricing, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was a little less than I thought."

  • "Singularity Cloud Workload Security's licensing and price were cheaper than the other solutions we looked at."
  • "I understand that SentinelOne is a market leader, but the bill we received was astronomical."
  • "It's not expensive. The product is in its initial growth stages and appears more competitive compared to others. It comes in different variants, and I believe the enterprise version costs around $55 per user per year. I would rate it a five, somewhere fairly moderate."
  • "The pricing is fair. It is not inexpensive, and it is also not expensive. When managing a large organization, it is going to be costly, but it meets the business needs. In terms of what is out there on the market, it is fair and comparable to what I have seen, so I do not have any complaints about the cost"

  • "As you scale your operations, AKS becomes more cost-effective."
  • "We could spend as little as $25 or $30 a month on Kubernetes Services, compared to the typical $100 a month expenditure for a virtual machine."
  • "The cost of the solution is extremely high. Both Amazon and Azure cost extremely high. Given the basic features like when they are coming over the cluster nodes, we think over ten times before giving the solution to clients. No matter how many offerings the solution provides, it becomes so much of a burden that you are not even getting back your invested money from customers."
  • "The control plane is free and we only pay for the usage and time."
  • "It is expensive compared to other vendors."
  • "The product follows a pay-as-you-go pricing model which is good for small enterprises. You need to pay only for the services that you use."
  • "It is an expensive solution."
  • "The price of AKS is expensive. We pay approximately $10,000 monthly."

  • "The pricing is fair for what you get. I'd rate them a solid nine out of ten in terms of pricing."
  • "I am not the one who handled the pricing. A different team worked on it, but it is pretty expensive."
  • "CrowdStrike Falcon Cloud Security is pricy."
  • "The pricing is reasonable, neither overly expensive nor excessively cheap, making it competitive compared to other market options."
  • "Its price is moderate."
