Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"You can develop your own apps within Loom, and they can be configured very simply.""The RFS portion of the solution is the product's most valuable feature.""What I like best about Loom Systems is that you can use it for infrastructure monitoring. I also like that it's a flexible solution.""The solution is absolutely scalable. If an organization needs to expand it out they definitely can."

"Great monitoring of network devices.""Splunk has drawn our attention to how the network is running. If there are alarms on things that are not functioning, it gives us early warning on problems that could arise.""The solution's most valuable aspect is its ability to get information about all of the security measurements in my environment.""It's a very easy-to-use solution.""The Add data feature lets you gather any type of log and easily analyze it.""The product retains a lot of log data for subsequent analysis.""I find the monitoring console very helpful. With one click, I can see how we are performing, and at the same time, I can see what data is flowing.""The most valuable thing that we have seen within our group is the ability to ingest all this raw data and have it organized in a certain way so that different groups can get effective alerting from this massive amount of raw data that is out there."

Cons
"The discovery and mapping still takes a lot of human intervention, it's quite resource heavy,""The reporting is a bit weak. They should work to improve this aspect of the product.""The change management within the solution needs to be improved. There needs to be more process automation.""What's lacking in Loom Systems is the level of priority for each incident. For example, after implementation and there was a huge impact on the client, and the client comes back to you and says that there's an incident, that there needs to be an immediate resolution for it, you'll see severity one, severity two, etc., in Loom Systems, rather than priority levels. It would be better if the incidents can be defined as low priority, medium priority, or high priority."

More Loom Systems Cons →

"In the next release, I would like to see more integration with other solutions.""This solution is difficult to configure and the instructions are complex.""Splunk could be better integrated with configuration manager solutions so we can automatically resolve issues without human interference.""The solution should have more sensors regarding fiber intelligence for security measures.""A lot of customers had a hard time effectively searching within the data in Splunk. There is a learning curve from searches to indexes and using all the macros that we have created. It is a little difficult for somebody who has not used it quite a bit and does not have a lot of practice with it, but the AI features that we have been hearing about through Splunk will make it a lot easier for us to use human language to search this data. That is big. That is pretty powerful, and that will help a lot with our customers.""They need more EDR functionalities.""The price has room for improvement.""They do not have all the features that I expect right now."
