Find out in this report how the two Backup and Recovery solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."While the challenges posed by the difficulties were significant, they prompted the replacement of problematic components, resulting in the resolution of issues. Importantly, there were no substantial ongoing concerns. Regarding the overall performance, it has been consistently excellent."
"I am impressed with the tool's technical alliance with Veeam and Veritas."
"We were evaluating other products and getting confused between Commvault and Veritas NetBackup. The one reason that we started with Veritas NetBackup is the pricing of the license. There's no other reason from a technical perspective or even operation or capability of the two software. The main reason we chose Veritas NetBackup was that in our use case it is more cost-effective."
"The most valuable feature is that it is basically a replica of our SAND data. We archive the SAND data for recovery, if there is an issue on the fence."
"It is pretty stable. We have one dedicated technician that is taking care of all the data protect. Typically, we have an issue once a month, if that. Or once every two months."
"The solution offers very good storage efficiency, so there's excellent compression and deduplication within the product that our clients really appreciate."
"The most valuable feature is its stability."
"It's a good product, it does what we want it to do."
"Unauthorized people cannot log in and execute commands."
"AIR and duplication, overall management and troubleshooting."
"The product needs to improve performance while scaling out. It also needs to improve stability."
"Perhaps the most notable area for enhancement lies in the web interface for management. The current limitations in LDAP editing capabilities are not addressed in the UI, and I haven't observed any recent updates. It's possible that the new version of the DXI service incorporates improvements in the GUI, but I cannot confirm. While there is room for improvement in the current GUI, it remains a relatively minor issue. Overall, the system is comprehensive, covering aspects such as reports on latency and networking, leaving little room for additional enhancements in those areas."
"Technical support is somewhat slow and is in need of improvement."
"In the next release, I would like to have a better way to protect against ransomware attacks and a better way of logging issues where you don't have to enable the verbose logging to capture the problems."
"You cannot tell what your costs are going to be by using the dashboard, which is something that should be improved."
"There have been issues with performance and some features."
"I would like to have support enabled for cloud backups."
"The solution must provide a different way to schedule backups."
"The licensing costs could be more affordable."
"Technical support only gets back to us the following morning."
