Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The solution is stable.""This is a powerful, reliable and versatile all-around application testing suite.""Support is very quick. You can write to them and on the same day, they will respond. This is one of the best features.""The solution is intuitive and pretty self-sustaining. You don't need a lot of help with it in terms of setup or assistance.""I like the recording function and Ranorex Spy.""Data security was prime for us. Being able to download and run tests on our local machines was a big plus. The flexibility Ranorex offers in terms of customization is outstanding.""The most valuable feature of Ranorex Studio is the capture and replay tool. You don't need to do script testing. When you launch any application from Ranorex Studio it automatically captures these test case steps. The next time you can replay the tool the flow automatically happens again. For example, when you do the logging and all the activity will be captured by the tool, and re-execute the same step by using automatization.""I'm from a UFT background, so Ranorex Studio has a similar feel in terms of how it handles objects. It just felt familiar even though I'd never seen it before. However, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of UFT, but it's a pretty good start, and it's cost-effective."

"Visual Studio is highly powerful. It's probably the best software development tool on the market.""The most valuable feature has been to store all our packages in one place including SSIS packages, SQL tables, TFS and SSR.""User-friendly ID and direct integration with GitHub are the most valuable.""The stability has always been very good.""The initial setup is easy. It's easy to configure.""The most valuable feature of Visual Studio Test Professional is its ease of use.""Visual Studio Test Professional is a very scalable solution.""Visual Studio is an exemplary integrated development environment that stands out due to its exceptional features. It allows for the seamless selection of the appropriate programming language for the specific development tasks at hand. This facilitates a swift and effortless transition between languages, providing a highly efficient development experience."

Cons
"The automation of the SAP application could perhaps be improved to make it much simpler.""When we have updated the solution in the past there have been issues with the libraries. They need to make it clear that the libraries need to be upgraded too.""One of the areas the service could be improved would be to have the training in Italian.""For our purposes it requires integration with other products to get out the results in the format we want them. Adding this to the product could improve it.""There were a lot of issues we faced. One notable improvement would be better API integration within the tool itself, as we still rely on external tools like Postman.""Binding to other sources is very good but the object recognition in .NET desktop applications often doesn't work.""The object detection functionality needs to be improved.""If there are many queries on the web page, Ranorex will not render the page correctly. I had about 1,000 queries on the page, and the solution was not able to handle it."

"Visual Studio Test Professional is a little pricey.""The price could be improved.""The documents on the Microsoft website are not very useful, and they ought to make it easier to find answers.""The documentation is limited.""It needs more integration with other tools for monitoring. Microsoft also needs to make it more modern to make it work with microservices and the cloud. It is a bit outdated currently.""I would appreciate some enhancements in the interface, maybe adding more color options.""The integration with Git needs improving because it is a bit disjointed and unpredictable.""The solution's documentation could be improved because it keeps disappearing from the solution."
