Yosef Shushan says in an OpenLegacy review
Chief Programmer with 1-10 employees
We are able to take old legacy customer data and use REST APIs to give customers the best experience. We can do everything via mobile, including payments and transactions between our customers and their suppliers. OpenLegacy is definitely faster than writing old legacy code. We have the ability to change what we want more easily than the "old" vendor company. View full review »
Sam Bachman says in a CA API Management review
Owner at Clarity Iq Inc
The most valuable feature is that it enables me to present data in the format that the client wants to consume it. That client might be a visualization tool, that client might be a report, that client might be a customer's API requirements. The challenge is, how do you get the data structured in the way they want it, as opposed to how do you get them to change. My job isn't to make them change, my job is to give them what they want. Honestly, when you give people what they want, it's easy. When you try to get people to change what they're doing, it's hard. View full review »
Naresh Shetty says in a SEEBURGER BIS review
Integration Specialist at a logistics company with 10,001+ employees
It's been a good tool so far. It's helped us do things which we were not able to do. Most applications nowadays are third-party applications which require data in particular formats and there are restrictions on them. We can't modify third-party applications. The best we can do is use SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite (BIS) to massage or reformat the data from one format to another and say, "Okay, if you want it this way you will get it this way." That's what SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite (BIS) has been good at: communicating between two applications, changing formats and using the required protocols. Some might have applications which are very old and they can't do more than FTP or SFTP. With SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite (BIS) we've got that flexibility. We can have one site communicating in an old FTP or SFTP style, or via file transfer. And with other applications, we could have API or a web service call or some other protocol used to send information. SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite (BIS) acts as an intermediary between them. Richard Lehane says in a SEEBURGER BIS review
Head of IT at a pharma/biotech company with 201-500 employees
The automation is the most valuable feature. We have full EDI automation through SEEBURGER BIS, which has been the biggest win for us. It removes the complexity and makes the process straightforward. We have additional ad hoc development costs, but those vary depending on if we're bringing on another third-party into our systems via the EDI integration. So, that's highly variable. Technical Lead - Integration/Middleware at a consultancy with 10,001+ employees
One of the concepts offered with this solution is called Productization. This concept allows you to bundle the APIs together and present them to clients as products, which allows you to configure the API with restricted access for different clients. An example of this would be Client A is granted access as read-only and able to do a few updates, whereas Client B would have full access to the APIs. You can configure different products for them in such a way that one of the products would have limited access, and the other would be granted full access. You are not creating another API, rather you are using the same proxy with limited access to the proxy. This is one of the features that has helped us a lot. We have APIs that we use internally and externally for clients outside of our network using the cloud with a SaaS solution that needs to access our API. The same API we use internally is the same API we expose externally. The level of security is different for internal applications and for external applications. To accommodate both we use the same API but add additional security features to the APIs. View full review »
Michael Osiecki says in a SEEBURGER BIS review
Partner For Experience & E-Business at a retailer with 10,001+ employees
Among the most valuable features are the EDI translator and a lot of the components which enable creating compliance sets. Having something standard, out-of-the-box, and being able to use that has been a huge benefit for us. We came from a system, in the past, where we were having to manually create all that on our own, and it was very time-consuming and costly. Being able to do that out-of-the-box has been great. Another aspect that we employed in the last year-and-a-half has been their CMA platform component, which hooks to the SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite (BIS) front end. We've been able to set up an automatic testing process for our partners. They can walk through and test all their documents, in the sequence that our company would be expecting to pass and exchange them, without any interaction with someone in our company. Richard Lobovsky says in a CA API Management review
VP Enterprise Solutions - Financial Services at Samsung
CA has incredible reach in the market across industries. To have the opportunity to partner with CA has been great for us, a great exposure. They have got a very compelling platform that enables organizations to easily develop and roll out mobile applications. A lot of their customers have come and said, "We'd like to be able to enable these mobile applications with biometric authentication capabilities." It is really a nice blend. We are able to provide that capability to enable that platform to deliver that to their client base. View full review »

Security. We get a lot of class actions, payloads, which have real security requirements, like personal identification information. So we need to protect all of this information, make sure it is secure. Also, we can handle the huge class actions we get from different clients. View full review »

Oracle's APIP CS is a platform capable for consistently covering the complete API Lifecycle from design to retirement, supporting an API-first approach. The platform provides a strong and intuitive API Design platform, which allows the collaborative creation of new API Designs in an efficient API-first manner. Furthermore, APIP CS provides a lightweight, flexible architecture and offers a hybrid deployment model, where the API Gateway components can be installed either to Oracle Cloud, third-party cloud providers (Amazon, Azure), or On-Premises. This allows the creation of very flexible, agile API-driven architectures. This Micro Gateway approach, is especially valuable in Microservices architectures. The Gateways are communicating with a Management Service, which lives in the Cloud, to send usage information or to fetch changes for the deployed APIs. The advantage of this "Calling home" mechanism is that there's no need to define firewall exceptions, since it is an outbound communication. APIP CS Management Service is a cloud-based application, running only on Oracle Cloud. The Management Service has been built following the API-first principal and is a cloud-native application. The corresponding UIs (Management Portal, API Catalog) are very intuitive and therefore easy-to-use. The implementation and management of new APIs is straightforward. There is not a high learning curve. View full review »
Jordan Braunstein says in a Mulesoft Anypoint API Manager review

* Ability to create and test API "microservices" using RAML * Develop policies that can be applied and re-used across API's and trading partners * Strong security and integration to identity providers to protect public facing APIs * Intuitive development tools based on fundamental computer science concepts, drag/drop * Simple cloud and hybrid cloud deployment models. Good security by putting each application onto a separate VM in the cloud. * Large set of connectors * Innovative concept with "Connector Marketplace" which is similar to Salesforce. * Solid integration with DevOps and continuous integration tools. * Good build for its transformation, translation, and orchestration features. For example, visual mapping, an IDE for building visual flows, drag and drop connectors and templates. View full review »

API Application Security Specialist
This solution gives you a unified way to have your API accessed. It's a managed product and is fully scalable. This solution ties in very well with all of the AWS services, such as IAM and asset management. It gives you security from an authentication and authorization point of view. Lambda integration and functionality is very good. This solution ties directly in with the AWS firewall, which gives you a lot of security, including application security in terms of things like SQL injection and cross-site scripting. AndrewHill says in a SEEBURGER BIS review
Integration Team Lead at Wincanton
Its flexibility is the most valuable feature. We can hook up using any protocol that's out there, to anybody. We've got a good in-house team that can work out with all the parts of it, including transformations for the bespoke processes that we sometimes need. We're not using half of its capabilities at the moment. We haven't hit the edges of it yet. We're not particularly leading edge, nor are most of our customers. View full review »

IT Solutions Business Analyst Team Lead of Sales and Distribution at a retailer with 10,001+ employees
It does what it says it does, for us. We normally don't have many problems, so it's the reliability. And the message tracking is quite good, where we can go in and see if we have an issue. It's more having a query utility, rather than reporting, per se. We can query if we have issues or if something's wrong. But it's quite basic stuff. View full review »
ITdeptbank67 says in an OpenLegacy review
IT Department Banking Industry at a financial services firm with 10,001+ employees
The features that have been most valuable in our situation is that this can be used as an enterprise solution and the fact that it is open-source. Partly because it is open-source, it has a lot of features and because of that, it has helped us be flexible with solutions. There is no end in this area to what can be accomplished. I can always learn more and more as I think it is the responsibility of being in my position and using this product effectively. View full review »

Modupe Aladeojebi says in a WSO2 API Manager review
Chief Technology Officer at Swifta Systems and Services
I don't know that there is one single valuable feature. We chose the solution because it could integrate and solve multiple issues. Building blocks and all the products we need to integrate can be attached. That capability in the architecture makes it very flexible. Control is possible over even little things like that fact that I can enable and disable the logs. The logs are well detailed and if I'm troubleshooting, it makes troubleshooting quite easier. I can test the loads and see every detail, their inquires, and their response. I think the recent changes in the WSO2 also make orchestration better. That is designing and orchestrating components is quite easy. For me, the fact that it's built upon TomCat makes everything easier for me. These are all very valuable features. View full review »
