The total ranking of a product, represented by the bar length, is based on a weighted aggregate score. The score is calculated as follows: The product with the highest count in each area gets the highest available score. (20 points for Reviews; 16 points for Views, Comparisons, and Followers.) Every other product gets assigned points based on its total in proportion to the #1 product in that area. For example, if a product has 80% of the number of reviews compared to the product with the most reviews then the product's score for reviews would be 20% (weighting factor) * 80% = 16. For Average Rating, the maximum score is 32 points awarded linearly based on our rating scale of 1-10. If a product has fewer than ten reviews, the point contribution for Average Rating is reduced (one-third reduction in points for products with 5-9 reviews; two-thirds reduction for products with fewer than five reviews). Reviews that are more than 24 months old, as well as those written by resellers, are completely excluded from the ranking algorithm.

What do you think of HPE EVA?

Primary Use Case We use it for some backup solutions. It was a very good solution. Now, it's an old system, and it's okay. It's working fine. • Improvements to My Organization In general, my boss feels that HPE's prices are very high. In the future we will probably buy a cheaper system. Regarding EVA itself, it's an old system. If I had to suggest an improvement it would be good if they used active-active controllers. Now it is active-passive. But, as I said, this system has been abandoned by HPE. • Valuable Features It has never failed and I have never lost data due to failure. • Use of Solution More than five years. • Stability Issues It's very stable. • Scalability Issues It's very scalable. • Customer Service and Technical Support We used technical...

What do you think of HPE EVA?

Primary Use Case Our Development/UAT environment used SAN and this array provided the dev space for it. We use two devices (EVA4400 and EVA 6300 for dev/UAT, but not for production). • Improvements to My Organization There have been no fail-stop failures for the last five years. • Valuable Features Reliability Performance  We cannot stop this SAN array. It has never failed since it was started. We have not had a problem with it at all. • Room for Improvement Performance could probably be improve with faster controllers, but it is already an old device. We do have performance problems now, but it is a rather old device, so we have what we have. • Use of Solution More than five years. • Stability Issues It is very stable. • Customer Service and Technical...
