When creating a private cloud, you can choose from several different technologies - some of them are open source (like OpenStack, Open Nebula), others are private (like VMware vCloudSuite, Microsoft Azure).  Do you have experience with any of them and what is your feedback?

I'm curious to know what problems people are trying to solve using IaaS -- These solutions can be both hosted or on-premises: AWS/Google Compute/Joyent (hosted) or  VMware/OnApp/Openstack (open-premises) These are just examples, all options are welcome. Also, why did you choose the particular solution that you are using?
