Here is what our trusted users, your peers, have to say about Altassian’s different product offerings:
JIRA: Our users rated JIRA as the #1 solution of 2021 for Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools, Application Requirements tools, and Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools.
Peer Reviews
One user, who is a Deputy Director - Network/Systems and Support - IT department (USJ) at a university, said what makes JIRA valuable is that “It's very simple to change the workflow and adapt it. Jira is very user friendly for the agent and the user”
A Senior Software Developer at Matrix Comsec Pvt. Ltd. said, “Our company follows the Agile methodology for software development, and this product is one of the best tools for companies that do so”
An IT manager at a government facility felt that although JIRA is easy to use, “If I'm comparing it to ALM Octane, the documentation is not as robust as ALM Octane's documentation. So, they can improve on the documentation side”
Confluence: Confluence was the #1 ranked solution for 2021 in Knowledge Management Software and #2 in Corporate Portals and Enterprise Social Software. Confluence is an outstanding collaboration tool that allows you to create, share, evolve, and capture your team's project documentation so you can collaborate better, smarter, and as a team.
Confluence’s Best Features:
Michael P., GM Technology at an energy/utilities company, said that “Easy to use out-of-the-box templates satisfy the majority of common use cases.”
David M., Delivery Lead at Cyma, added that “The integration's very good. You still have integration with lots of third party products, and it's very good.”
Some Areas for Improvement
User Naresh R., Tech Mahindra TitleTech Lead for KPN Project at a computer software company, felt that although the design documentation abilities are valuable, they could be improved. “When we upgrade a design and make technical architecture drawings to publish, we still use Visio first and then copy and paste it. If this feature were available on Confluence, it would be a useful tool”
Trello is another collaboration offering, generally focused on smaller businesses.
Jennie Q., Life Leader Coach at Rogers Communications, is a solopreneur who uses Trello to help organize her social media posts and said that “I like how user-friendly, visual, and intuitive it is. It doesn't take a lot of time to figure out how to make it work for you”
Prem L., Customer Success Manager at a tech services company, advised that
Bitbucket is 2021’s #2 rated Version Control tool on PeerSpot. Bitbucket is a great place to store your Git code and will also give you a place to collaborate with your teams and test and deploy your code. You get free unlimited repositories and great integration with first- and third-party tools. You also get built-in continuous delivery and expedited code review, which allows for faster build, test, and deploy processes.
One valued user who is a Developer III, Information Technology at an energy/utilities company, said that “Bitbucket is definitely a tool to consider if somebody is still on CVS. It is a great tool and well integrated with Bamboo.”
Another user's experience was that there was a bit of a steep learning curve to working with Bitbucket. The vice president at a comms service provider said that
Bamboo: PeerSpot users give Bamboo an average rating of 8 out of 10 in Build Automation tools. Bamboo is a continuous integration and delivery tool that ties automated builds, tests, and releases together in a single workflow. It works great alongside JIRA and Stash, providing a fully traceable deployment pipeline.
Overall, our users felt that Bamboo was a great tool for automation, handled CI pipeline well, and was very scalable and reliable, but was not an easy solution to use and that certain processes could be made easier.
One reviewer, who is a Senior Software Engineer at a tech services company, said that Bamboo was “reliable, great technical support, and scalable” and that “Bamboo is a bit complicated to use compared to other solutions, such as GitLab. You have to integrate different actions that are difficult that could be made easier.”
Another reviewer, who is a Lead Consultant at a computer software company, shared that Bamboo is “Fairly stable, scalable, and does CI pipeline well, but requires a lot of integration and not easy to use and learn.”
