Proofpoint Email Protection helps prevent block phishing attempts. The product does a lot of URL rewriting. The solution offers pretty good protection to users. Proofpoint Email Protection has aided in the management of our organization's email security, but I would say that the tool has probably made it more complicated. It's not an easy product to use or configure, as it takes skill and knowledge to install and configure. If you get an email with the link, Proofpoint Email Protection runs in a safe environment to check whether it is malicious before allowing it into your company, making it a great technology. The aforementioned area describes the tool's ability to identify and block threats. My company doesn't use the product's data loss prevention and email encryption capabilities since both are expensive options. My company only runs the base products, so we don't acquire the licenses to use certain functionalities. The product's integration with other products in the infrastructure is okay, but the configuration part takes a long time. The product works fine once it is up and running. The initial setup is complicated. I recommend the product to those who plan to use it. Before purchasing the product, users need to engage with the solution's consultant since it is not a tool that you want to deal with by yourself. You need to understand what you want to ensure that the product's configuration is proper. I rate the overall an eight out of ten.

Proofpoint has many modules, allowing one to opt for the right module that fits into their business. Oversubscribing to modules in Proofpoint may not help, and it can get expensive after a certain point. I work for a financial organization, so I know emails and stuff coming over emails are considered critical in our company, and because of this, we are pretty much subscribed to most of Proofpoint's modules. I see a benefit from the product. The solution may not fit into some other organizations. Though Proofpoint Email Protection has been a strong and stable product, I feel that Proofpoint can still do better. The support for the product has been great since the solution's support team has been very responsive and accommodating to our requests, especially regarding the enhancements we have put in the solution. Proofpoint Email Protection has been a very good tool that has been very accommodating to our company's needs. The tool helps my company since it has a lot of capabilities, especially the feature to provide protection to emails. I don't have anything that I could complain about. My experience with the solution has been good, as it works the way I expected it to function. The stability can get redundant because of ensuring the email system in an organization where every minute counts, and since it is deployed on a SaaS model, it becomes a critical infrastructure where an organization doesn't have much visibility. Organizations rely on vendor infrastructure, so I hope that Proofpoint does a better job there and ensures that the solution functions with the least downtime or on a no-downtime kind of model. I rate the overall solution a nine out of ten.

My advice to others is to be cautious because they seem to be going through some changes (likely to do with corporate structuring issues) that are negatively affecting customer service and stability. I would rate Proofpoint Email Protection a six out of ten.

My company is not using Proofpoint Email Protection, but it's a distributor based in Thailand. I am trying to remember the exact version of the solution, but it should be the latest one. Proofpoint Email Protection is mainly deployed on the cloud because many of my customers prefer a cloud solution unless the customer works in a bank or financial institution. Still, I have some customers that deployed it on-premises. Two to three people take care of product deployment. My company didn't receive customer Proofpoint Email Protection maintenance requests this year because it just started working with Proofpoint, but maybe next year, it will. Proofpoint Email Protection is best for medium to large businesses because it's pretty pricey so smaller companies would go for another product, or maybe Proofpoint Essentials. Still, since Proofpoint Essentials cannot customize policies or have the same usability as the enterprise product, smaller companies usually aren't interested in it. My advice to anyone planning to implement Proofpoint Email Protection is that if you want a complete platform for email security, this product is the answer. There's no better email security solution than Proofpoint Email Protection if you can afford its price. I'm rating the product as nine out of ten. I took away one point because of its price.

My company is using the solution because it is one of the leading email security providers, and it has gone through a review by the application security team. The features were in line with our requirements. I recommend Proofpoint Email Protection because it provides everything in one place, such as security control. I would suggest having a separate solution for security control and another for email business flow. This way it would give a separation of duties instead of having everything in one place, the business policy as well as the security policy. Sometimes it is not the best way to manage both policies in one place. It's better to have a dedicated security, email security gateway where we can control the security of the organization. I rate Proofpoint Email Protection a nine out of ten. I gave my rating because the solution provides everything in one place and it has a lot of features for more insight regarding suspicious emails. I can see how many users received it, the attack vector, and the repetition of the email.

I'm a freelancer working to support some companies that are using Proofpoint. Sometimes I create a subscription for them and configure everything from scratch; sometimes, I take it already configured and just maintain it. Anyone with basic knowledge of the solution and how to configure items will not have an issue with this product. I'd rate it seven out of ten based on the mail flow issues I have witnessed.

I'm a customer and end-user. We are using Proofpoint Essentials right now. When you are an SME, every product company is trying to promote a product and sell it to you; however, if you don't know how it functions and its capability and effectiveness, then you probably end up buying what you need. Constantly evaluate any product you're buying. I've seen Proofpoint used in the last three companies that I worked with, so I have a lot of experience with this particular solution. I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.

We get no complaints, and that's why we sell it. It has been very good. I would recommend this product to everybody. It doesn't matter whether you are a large business or a small business. You need it no matter what. Going forward, it is going to be the norm to have something more than just your basic email protection because the SEC is actually catching onto a lot of these bad actors. As per the survey, the number one risk for companies was their own employees clicking something. It is a good story I tell my customers, and just like that, they're purchasing from us. It is an easier sell. It isn't hard to sell. Your average sales cycle, from PoC to close, on this one is most likely going to be within the 90-day period. It is overall good. I would rate it an 8 out of 10.

I provide products to clients. I have clients who use a product for email protection that I provided: Proofpoint Email Protection. They use it in their corporate offices. At this point in time, there's nothing that needs to be changed or improved in the tool. We have regular updates for Proofpoint Email Protection, so there's no specific need to change anything. I have two to three clients using the tool, but globally, within our group, I don't have information on the total number of clients using Proofpoint Email Protection. My company provides L3 support, and we reach out to Proofpoint for typical, vendor-type support, L4 support via a ticketing system. I'm rating Proofpoint Email Protection eight out of ten.

Proofpoint has wide modules: POD, TAP , EFD, etc. Each has different licensing and costs.

Proofpoint TAP (Targeted Attack Protection) is highly capable of defending URL / attachment threats. My rating is Nine out of Ten.

We've observed that we have almost 99.9% control over our emails now in an easy to configure and easy to implement solution. It's simple and easy for the administration as well. We're looking forward to any upgrades or updates they provide. I recommend this solution if it suits your needs and requirements. If you have concerns about data floating in emails, it's a good solution. If that's not an issue then you can choose something else. I rate the solution nine out of 10.

I'd advise users to get the package with the Secure Mail feature and then make sure that you whitelist all your important IPs and then add domains of all known users, so you don't run across any blocked or missing mail. Our users have learned to be more careful and look for more phishing attempts from it, because now they know what a normal email should look like instead of, "Hey, here's a link you need to update your password." And then just clicking away. Through this they've been able to see, because we can show them, "Look, this is blocked, this wasn't, here's why." Right. So we've been actually able to teach that culture and teach the hesitancy. With this solution, our users have become much more informed. I'd rate the solution at a nine out of ten. It's a great product and they have great customer service, a great support team.

You need to be able to connect the dots on what the licensing buys you and what that particular module is to accomplish. Therefore, it behooves you to get someone that understands how the product works, what each module's intended for, what the licensing entails, and the cost-effectiveness of it. It's one of the top products out there. Overall, on a scale from one to ten, I would give this solution a rating of nine. It's just got the BC feature on it. If you get Defender for Office 365 specifically, that is the key to email protection from the Microsoft product. If you don't have that, then you will either have to purchase a third-party product or buy the add-on for Defender for Office 365.

While I don't have specific advice, I can say that the solution is easy to handle and we didn't have any troubles with the initial implementation. It was pretty seamless. I'd recommend the solution to other organizations.

My advice is that any customer who is concerned for his users has to look at Proofpoint. I recommend Proofpoint. You see a lot of attacks coming through emails. So I recommend Proofpoint for any customer, regardless of the size of the company. By the way, they have another product for smaller companies, the essential version. I have the enterprise version because I need more customization with more features. The smaller companies who have less than 100 users can go with the essential version, which is cheaper. On a scale of one to ten, I would give Proofpoint Email Protection a nine.

We're simply customers of the solution. We don't have a business relationship with the company. I'm not sure which version of the solution we are using. The advice that I would give to other companies who are considering using the solution is to really test the systems, even for outlandish attacks, to see if it will hold up. For me personally, I actually have two Proofpoint accounts. I have a Proofpoint account for something completely unrelated to B&H and I was able to prove that's almost anything you think of you can do, although it might not say in the documentation or the people at Proofpoint might not think of that scenario, however, it's still a way to achieve almost everything you were trying to achieve with your email filter. The flexibility is unbelievable. And you could get very creative. You just need to be very careful to not mess it up. However, you could get extremely creative to accommodate real case scenarios. Overall, I'd rate the solution nine out of ten.

Our company is a direct partner of Proofpoint and not an end-user. Since I don't have too much experience with usage, I don't think I can speak to it as well as a typical user. We work with Email Protection and Targeted Attack Protection. We handle the on-premises deployment model. I'd rate the solution ten out of ten. I'm very happy with it, and even one year after implementation I haven't had any issues with it or had any customers who were displeased with the solution.

Proofpoint Email Protection is a machine learning email gateway that catches both known and unknown threats. Through Target Attack Protection, emails will be analyzed and potentially blocked from advanced threats while users gain visibility around these threats. The technology can also classify various types of email and can be deployed both on premises or as a cloud service. In addition, users can tag suspicious emails to help raise user awareness and track down any email quickly....
