It's a good value. From a licensing standpoint, our only limitation is the number of devices that we manage. Our environment is small. We have fewer than 20 enterprise firewalls, meaning it's hard to say what it would look like at a company that has thousands and thousands of enterprise firewalls. But from our standpoint, it's very simple to understand, and gives us a good bang for the buck. There are some hardware components involved in the cost, but in general, it's pretty straightforward. There are no hidden fees or adjacent costs that we weren't aware of going in.

The pricing was very good during our initial year, but they increased it this year a little bit. The price is okay. It is not cheap, but it is still average.

This is an expensive solution. The cost of three modules for three years was approximately one million. There are no costs in addition to the standard licensing fees.

FireMon is very expensive. I think that they charge a premium. In general, they are very pricey. Compared to their competitors, they cost a little more than the other solutions that we evaluated. They license per module. They have four main modules that they license currently. The base license is included with the Security Manager module, which was our initial purchase back a year ago. The professional services is an add-on, and it is one where you can purchase more professional services. It is per project. So, it is an add-on for your initial implementation project. At a later time, if you have another project that you would want professional services on, they will quote you for that. The support comes in tiers and it's also per module. I don't know of anyone who would purchase a license for a module and not purchase the support that comes with it.
We don't license all of the devices in our network, so it does not provide us with a comprehensive visibility of all devices in a hybrid network at this time. I'm not involved in our licensing costs, but I do know that FireMon has a wide variety of different licensing options.

We pay on a yearly basis but my manager takes care of it. Regarding additional costs, if you want things like Policy Optimizer, extra features, that's extra.
