We have used Microsoft 365 Business for a few users, so the price is minimal for the service we are getting. However, Google provides Google Cloud Platform for free to universities, and I have been part of three universities where it is being used. Earlier, it had unlimited data storage, but now it is limited to 15 GB per user. Even though, in terms of usage, it is still better than Office 365.

There would be licensing costs because Microsoft 365 Business requires a product key and a license to be present in order to use its products, including Excel and other supportive products.

License fees can be paid monthly or annually and there are no extra costs involved. Licensing is reasonable and is on a tiered system so you can select what you want. In that respect, the license is scalable and it works well for some of our smaller clients who don't need all the features.

I find the pricing of Microsoft 365 Business to be reasonable. With the other products such as SQL database, they are expensive. There is a free license with Microsoft, which is the SQL Express. But it would be better if they could improve, or make adjustments to have higher limitations. The Express is limited based on the capacity of the memory and processor. If my requirements go beyond those limitations then I have to go to the standard edition, which is very expensive. I would like to see adjustments made to the limitations in SQL Express. It would be very helpful.

It has a subscription-based model, so we need to procure as many licenses as required as part of an enterprise agreement. It is a little bit expensive. It is definitely a bit more expensive than other solutions that are on-premises. It is also expensive as compared to the cloud-based solutions from other companies. However, when we look at the ease of use of the product and the adoption by the users, its cost can definitely be considered as comparable to other products. The features that we get in this solution are not available in solutions from its competitors.

It's pretty difficult to make a cost estimation, in cases where we need additional features. It might be out of the budget, and sometimes the extra price can surprise you. I think predictability in terms of costs. Overall it could be cheaper, as many times the additional features cost a lot and we are thinking twice about using them.

It is a fair price but sometimes the licensing can be quite complex. In that case you have to fly in a license expert, but I think for small businesses it's very cost efficient. It would be beneficial if was be a non-profit license model for healthcare organizations. In this case, they tend to just use a limited amount of functionality in the Microsoft 365 because of the pricing.

It is slightly expensive, but it doesn't have any hidden costs. You know what you're going to spend, and you get a decent ROI on it. It has subscription-based licensing. It helps you to figure out the amount of money that you would spend based on how many mailboxes you would require in a year, which makes it better as compared to a mail server for which you need to consider the licensing cost and the maintenance cost.

The price just keeps going up and it never comes down, but the service that you receive with the support is worth it. It works out to be $12.50 per user per month. For us, it will cost approximately $50.00 for four users per month. This doesn't include the cost for other licensing on other app subscriptions.

The pricing for the product is a bit of a tricky question. In terms of the total cost of ownership, I can say that it is expensive. It is a fair price, but in our country or another country with economies similar to Mozambique, the pricing structure may be a little high and prohibitive. The first issue is the volatility of the exchange rate because our currency, the Metical, is very volatile related to the dollar. The problem here is the customer has an agreement and when he realized that he wants to add some other applications or services or something else, he has the expectation of price based on what he signed on the first agreement. But when he sees the new price, it could become a lot higher than expected because of the exchange rate. It would be nice if somehow Microsoft had some flexibility with the initial agreement so that pricing would not fluctuate dramatically because of the exchange rate. Another thing that factors into the pricing is that the Internet connection and Internet bandwidth is still very expensive here in Mozambique. So it is not always an easy decision to make the migration to Office 365 due to these two variables.

The cost the impact is low for us due to the fact that we now pay annually instead of having the same license. We've saved a bit of money, switching over to Microsoft. I'm not sure of the exact pricing, as my colleague handled the payments. However, I do know the licensing process is a bit complex and could be simplified.

After the last update that was made, you are not obliged to take the same license for all of your users. For example, if you go for E1 it is $12 USD per month for every person. Now you can select different licenses, for example, if somebody doesn't need all of the features, it would cost $8 USD per month and if they didn't need the email application then it would cost $6 USD per month.
