Its price is comparable to the competitors in the market.

The price of the solution is okay but could improve.

Its price is aligned with the market. In addition to the standard licensing fees, there is an integrator cost.

Setup costs in terms of resources (man-hours) is dramatically reduced via the NDE effort from NetApp; yet our organization still has to modify multiple parameters after the NDE is complete. Thus, still takes some TLC to make the environment prod-ready.

The licensing fees are renewed annually.

Talk with the vendor. Get a demo box, put it in, set it up, and see if it works. Remember that you still have to pay for the licensing for VMware and Red Hat licenses separately. It's not all inclusive at this point.

Licenses run on a yearly basis, and there aren't any additional fees other than the standard licensing fee.

There are the overall infrastructure costs. Even though the initial costing was higher, we calculated for year-to-year for five years. That brought us into a position where we decided, we have to go for HCI rather than having distributor systems.

HCI
Hyper-Converged Infrastructure refers to a system where numerous integrated technologies can be managed within a single system, through one main channel. Typically software-centric, the architecture tightly integrates storage, networking, and virtual machines.
