What is your primary use case for Juniper SRX Series Firewall?

Currently, we are using the solution as our data center firewall.

I use Juniper SRX Series Firewall for research purposes.

I work for a system integration company that partners with Juniper. Currently, I'm in a role akin to a technical consultant. The SRX Series is often used by enterprise companies, typically in a cluster mode configuration, to enhance reliability. It's suitable for small to medium-sized enterprises as well.

Juniper SRX Series Firewall has a lot of opportunities in Bangladesh. The enterprise service is basic, serving as a gateway for Juniper networks. It facilitates network-to-network connectivity and operates as a next-generation firewall. It provides exceptional protection, scalability, and integration of security services.

Customers use the solution in a cluster configuration to secure the network.

We use the solution for our transport domain's server. We handle booking and billing using the solution.

We have a lot of virtual access in the public or private cloud, as well as virtualization on hardware devices.

We are using Juniper SRX as a network firewall.

I am a teacher and the solution is used as a router for my students' laboratory exercises. I have the firewall function switched off and the solution operates as a main router for our very limited traffic.

We didn't explicitly configure or use any specific SRX features regarding the filtering of URLs or something that a UTM could use, since Juniper has a more advanced configuration and, in general, a UI that's made for the customer.

Those days are gone where a firewall does just one thing. Today most of the firewall products are station firewalls. You have various options in each firewall station. In terms of comparison, you can compare Juniper with Cisco, with Fortinet, with Palo Alto and other leading products. It depends on what exactly you are planning to have it do.

We are a distributor and Juniper SRX is one of the products that we work with. The SRX is a service gateway device that serves two main functions. The primary function is as a firewall, and the second is for routing traffic. It can serve as a branch firewall or data center firewall, as well as a next-generation firewall, based on the license.

It is a basic firewall that we have been using for six years. It is a good solution.

We use it as a firewall at our head office and branches. We use its IDS solution at the head office too.

Our primary use case is security. The performance has been okay. It's a bit of a change from the Ciscos in terms of the configuration syntax, from the CLI perspective. We use it just as a firewall. We don't use it for routing functionality.

The Juniper SRX that we have is being used as a firewall. Somehow, it is performing. The product is a normal router with basic firewall capacity. We don't have a dedicated firewall. Therefore, I don't have high expectations from Juniper.

During our last network refresh, we did a wholesale forklift upgrade from Cisco to an entire Juniper network infrastructure, including Juniper SRX router/firewall/IDP, EX Series switches, and QFX Series core switches. The entire process took over two years to complete, but once it was completed, we were extremely happy with the Juniper equipment in terms of costs, performance, maintenance, and the ability to function as we needed.

Our primary use is having a virtual appliance vSRX PoC in telco. We tested integration to their Vim, function and performance.
