Securing data center can be challenging for many of reasons. We have to implement the below to secure a Datacenter whether it is TIER1,TIE2, TIER3 and TIER4

1. Perimeter - DMZ level tight security
2 IT Infrastructure level security
3. Implement the powerfull Web Application Firewall (WAF). It filters, monitors, and blocks HTTP traffic to and from a web application.
4. Datacenter Database is an Internal DMZ. Database security refers to the range of tools, controls, and measures designed to establish and preserve database confidentiality, integrity, and availability
5. Data center Facility equipment security.
Implement the tight security on Operational Technology (OT) of Industrial facility equipment. Mainly UPS, CRACS, AHU, Gensets as all are running now IP based. OT is mainly in Industrial Control Systems such as IBMS/SCADA systems.
Finally, Physical security of the data center implementing many modern technologies.
