We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The talent acquisition and the onboarding components of the system are most valuable."

More PageUp People Pros →

"This solution is extremely flexible and the automation capabilities are great."

More PeopleFluent Talent Management Pros →

"The feature that I have found most valuable is having the sources so that you're able to adapt the product to your needs. That was a big benefit.""Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.""It's a mature product.""Stability-wise, it is a good tool.""It's very fully featured. It has more features and more configurability than SAP.""PeopleSoft allows you to schedule upgrades and inform users beforehand. This gives your IT team time to manage the implementation and minimize disruption.""I often say that PeopleSoft's greatest feature is how customizable it is.""PeopleSoft is resilient and has the flexibility for us to customize it."

More PeopleSoft Pros →

Cons
"They could probably add surveying, as in engagement surveys, to their product. That would be something that would be valued by their customers. For instance, Culture Amp is a product that does a lot of the engagement stuff. They're diversifying into other aspects of talent management. It is not yet at the same scale as PageUp People, but it is an excellent product as well."

More PageUp People Cons →

"The integration capabilities could be improved."

More PeopleFluent Talent Management Cons →

"The solution's initial setup is not straightforward.""The Time and Labor module is not that flexible.""Often support just asks people to install a lot of upgrades. Sometimes they don't really give you clear details as to why you need to upgrade. They just say, "You need to upgrade this because there's a newer image, etc". They never really give you the reason underlying why you are having errors.""The solution could improve by offering PeopleSoft site licenses. Currently, Oracle is pushing for everyone to transition to the cloud, but clients are discontent with this approach. Offering new PeopleSoft site licenses would be the most beneficial for our clients.""PeopleSoft lacks integration capabilities.""The solution needs to work on its mobile technology. We're hoping in the next version we're working on implementing, 9.2, will have more of this.""Stability is an area where the solution lacks and needs to be improved.""I would like to see better support, bug fixing, and documentation."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "PageUp has a different model from other organizations. As part of their pricing structure, they tend to work with you very closely and not charge you for the setup. So, there is one price all inclusive of setup, and for that reason, they become an attractive provider to work with. Here in Australia, the education sector has gravitated very heavily towards PageUp."

  • "It's not too expensive, but not too cheap either."
  • More PeopleFluent Talent Management Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "Check all options before a decision is made."
  • "It's approximately $3,000,000 to $4,000,000 USD per year."
  • "The licensing cost for PeopleSoft is 3,500 per course and the annual subscription fee is 6,500."
  • "I don't know if they are still providing licenses or if they have suspending licenses."
  • "There are no additional costs for licensing."
  • "We are a University and the cost and license are negotiated privately."
  • "The main issue we have with the solution is that it is very expensive."
  • "One of the cheapest solutions available and also one of the best."

    Reviews from Real Users

PeopleSoft is a solution that stands out when compared to many of its competitors. Some of its major advantages are that it has a lot of functionality and is customizable.

A Regional Director at a tech services company mentions, “The most valuable feature is that it's wide and broad and it does about everything anybody needs in a major organization from a back-office systems point of view.”

"PeopleSoft is a good core system. It has a lot of functionality. "They frequently update the solution and recently they have added some good enhancement features for higher education. We just switched to the new fluid interface and that is working very well for us. It is very good," says another reviewer who is an HR/Pay Systems Administrator/Director at a university.

A Senior Manager for DevOps Infrastructure at a financial services firm, explains why he finds the solution so beneficial: "It is a customizable product. We can customize it based on our needs, which is one of the features that I like about PeopleSoft. As far as financial accounting is concerned, the user interface is very good. You can also configure a Chart of Accounts for all performance insights."
