We performed a comparison between CyberArk Privileged Access Manager, Palo Alto Networks WildFire, and SonicWall TZ based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about CyberArk, Delinea, BeyondTrust and others in Privileged Access Management (PAM)."We've written over a hundred custom connectors ourselves that allow us to do all types of privileged session management for various applications. On top of that, the rest of the API-based central credential providers allow us to get away from credentials that may be hard-coded in the script or some application."
"On the EBB user side, we were able to secure all the server root passwords and admin for Windows. This was a big win for us."
"The voice technology is very good."
"Right off the bat, the most valuable feature is the DNA scan. It gives us the ability to scan our environment and find the accounts that we're going to need to take under control."
"The product is for hardening access and making the organization more secure, therefore reducing chances of a breach."
"We have been able to manage application credentials in CyberArk, whether they come as a custom plugin or straight out-of-the-box."
"What I found most valuable in CyberArk Privileged Access Manager is the Session Manager as it allows you to split the connection between the administrator site and the target site. I also found the Password Manager valuable as it lets you rotate the passwords of privileged users."
"Its' quite stable."
"The most valuable feature of this solution is how it keeps up-to-date with viruses."
"High availability with active-active and active-passive modes."
"The solution is scalable."
"The most valuable features are all of the security features in terms of protection and SSL and VPN."
"It helps us when segmenting and securing the network and all sort of technologies, all sort of next generation needs. It's next generation phases of firewall like anti-virus, sandboxing, wifi, and VPN."
"The most effective feature of WildFire for threat analysis is its collaboration with other security profiles on our Palo Alto firewall."
"The scalability is acceptable."
"The solution is completely integrated with all the other Palo Alto products. I think that it is the best part for endpoint protection. The firewall features include URL and DNS filtering, threat protection, and antivirus."
"We are able to block whatever we want to block by using this product. It provides all required security features, such as content filtering, VPN, in one box. Before switching to SonicWall, we had specified all required features."
"It is a scalable solution."
"The most valuable feature is the user-friendly navigation."
"We use the content filter quite a lot because it's an office setting. During working hours, we like to censor the sites users can visit so it increases productivity. Therefore, the content filter has been good for us."
"The feature with SonicWall that I have found most valuable is that all the models have the same interface. We don't need to learn different interfaces in the smaller or bigger models."
"I like the firewall product, the security server, and the content filter."
"Its user interface and simplicity are the most favorite parts for our clients. They find it stable and easy to use. Its performance is also good."
"It does what it says it is going to do."
"The product documentation has to be more precise in certain aspects with explanations for functionality limitations along with reference material or screenshots."
"The current user interface is a little dated. However, I hear there are changes coming in the next version."
"It needs better documentation with more examples for the configuration files and API/REST integration"
"The current interface is not very intuitive."
"Initially, there was a lot of hiccups, because there were a lot of transitions due to manual installations."
"Their post-sale support area requires a big improvement. Customers cannot automate tickets directly with CyberArk. They have to come through the distributor or bring in partners who have access to the support portal. Basically, the support for post-sales implementation is there, but the role of CyberArk is very minimal. Customers have to rely on partners, which sometimes creates issues. Some of the vendors help you during the implementation process, but the CyberArk support team does not do that. They have 24/7 support for our region, but they help only if there is an emergency or there is a problem with their system. If the password vault is down or the system is down, they provide immediate attention. For almost everything else, they take more time to respond. They give low priority to service-related or migration-related questions."
"Tech support staff can be more proactive."
"CyberArk Privileged Access Manager could improve the integration with other solutions and ease of use. Additionally, there should be a feature to have remote connections without a VPN."
"High availability features are lacking."
"Any enhancements should likely be focused on the firewall appliance to further strengthen overall security capabilities, such as refining app and user identity features."
"It would be nice if there was an easier way to install and deploy it, such as through the inclusion of wizards."
"The solution can improve its traffic management."
"The product's false positive logs could be more user-friendly to understand. They could provide examples of precious cases to learn."
"Many years back an update caused an issue with the firewall. However, Palo Alto not only informed us of said issue, they also sent an update that fixed the issue before I even had time to log in to determine if the issue affected our services."
"The global product feature needs improvement, the VPN, and we need some enhanced features."
"As a firewall and 360 degrees of security, there needs to be more maturity."
"Although the pricing is good, it could always be lower. If we get to pay less, we're happier."
"Its pricing can be better. It is very expensive."
"The market seems to be going to a cloud-supported, new generation of firewall products. I think that's probably going to be important to us, the next time around."
"SonicWall TZ can improve the UI application and when you create any net policies or any new policy, it will not sync or work properly."
"There is still room for improvement, and it's not advisable even if the organization has grown."
"The solution should provide some additional ports."
"The solution must provide more ports."
"Pricing could be lowered slightly."
