We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Keeper was user-friendly.""It saves us from duplicating passwords for different accounts.""The ability to autofill the login credentials has saved me a lot of time in my day to day computing.""Available for Windows platforms and also Mac OS and Linux systems.""It is nice to be able to use my Touch ID and have access to all my passwords in one place.""It is very easy to use, intuitive, and cost effective.""We can access our sign-ins and passwords on up to five devices per user. This means I can access a given site and my login and password for that site from my home and office computers as well as my phone and iPad.""It syncs with all devices and supports all platforms."

"Workforce Identity offers a comprehensive access management solution with multi-factor authentication, total control, and features like app access management, identity governance, and administration tools such as certification and access request management. These are typically found in identity management solutions, but Okta integrates them seamlessly into its user interface.""The most valuable feature in Okta Workforce Identity is the single sign-on, universal directory, and lifecycle management.""We find the solution to be stable.""Workforce Identity's best features include its user-friendliness and easy setup.""The initial setup of Okta Workforce Identity is straightforward. I was able to get an environment ready within half a day.""Valuable features include UD, SSO functionality, MFA and Adaptive MFA functionality, ability to link multiple Directory databases with UD.""It is a very stable solution.""It is flexible and easy to install."

"As our identity model continues to mature, probably the Federation is most valueable.""Symantec Siteminder Is both scalable and stable.""It has the ability to authenticate and authorize users. It is the main feature for our security.""A valuable feature of Siteminder is the way it handles bulk traffic. The features it has, in terms of routing the traffic and load balancing, are good.""The most valuable feature is the Federation part of Single Sign On, which is customizable and is easily integrated with any customer application or any third party application.""It provides the breadth and the width to provide solutions for the different kinds of technologies which we have.""The most valuable feature is the integration with the Active Directory.""It is reliable."

Cons
"I would love it if you didn't have to re-authenticate when you start up a new browser.""It would be nice to see this great tool integrate with other tools out there.""I would add a category for personal documents or photos of ID cards.""Rearranging folders via drag/drop functionality would be very helpful.""The organization of items needs improvement. For example, when I log onto the cloud version as well, everything is shown on my folder. It is hard to differentiate between files and documents in my list of items I have stored inside.""The password rotation feature could be improved.""I would like to see a way to store files and photos in the next update. If it already does this, I have yet to explore it.""The user experience and the mobile app could be improved."

More Keeper Cons →

"Its pricing needs improvement.""In some setup cases, there are issues with attributes not going in properly.""It's not compatible with on-premises installations, unless you host it as a SaaS. We were not able to do that. For example, imagine a scenario where the cloud is not available. Then, Okta will not work for you. That use case will readily fail because it doesn't have an on-premises installation that you can use to authenticate or provide identity and access management. If you have a purely on-premises solution that is not connected to the internet, then this will not work. This is one area that can be improved.""The only area of concern in the solution stems from the fact that my company needs some help regarding the setup phase from a partner.""The guest user access could be improved.""They also have single sign-on (SSO). When we bought Okta Workforce Identity a year and a half ago, I was also looking at SSO, but not much documentation was available for SSO. The documentation for SSO should be a little more robust for somebody who is implementing it for the first time.""The pricing could be improved.""There should be automated aggregation and complete classification processes included in it."

More Okta Workforce Identity Cons →

"I would like to see a move towards the newer technologies, which is what we are doing right now. I think that's in the roadmap that's coming, in the 12.8 and 14 releases, but we would like to have it sooner than later.""Some of the new protocols, like OAuth 2.0, could be improved.""The GUIs are not very clear, especially when integrating with other products from CA.""We would like to the OAuth be more stable, more issues being fixed rather than not.""We're currently unable to find information about if the solution can do a full implementation with SQL. Some better and more accessible documentation for new users or those curious about the product would be helpful.""The Federation part of CA Single Sign On, it's a bit complex to implement because it involves the SSL certificates, exchange of certificates, and lot of technical details. The documentation misses some important parts of this, so that's the reason it took some time for us to go live.""The main thing is we do not have the traceability and good monitoring that CA can provide us to capture problems when they occur.""I would prefer to see their SAML integration be a more streamlined and easier interface."

  • "Just buy the yearly subscription."
  • "Its cost is relative to the value of the information stored in Keeper."
  • "ROI is hard to know, but it has to be several times the expense of the product."
  • "We chose their optional annual subscription; I believe we paid monthly — I thought it was a good deal."

  • "It could be a bit too pricey for small companies. Okta Workforce Identity can add a lot of benefits, but smaller companies may not have a lot of applications that need to be managed by Okta Workforce Identity. In larger organizations, there are more departments, applications, and users to manage. Okta Workforce Identity adds a bit more value to those bigger organizations. In addition to standard licensing fees, there are also additional costs for things"
  • "License is around US$20,000 annually."
  • "I believe it competes well. The pricing is pretty competitive. I know that Microsoft also provides something similar with its MFA and identity services."
  • "It is costly for large companies."
  • "The price of this product could be lower."
  • "It has a yearly subscription. As compared to its competitors, it is quite expensive. It also has a complex licensing model."
  • "The pricing is reasonable."
  • "This solution is costly. Pricing is decent if you have less users, but it significantly goes up the more users you have, with its cost not justified."

  • "The price is quite comparable to the other enterprise-level solutions in that market."
  • "I recommend conducting a PoC on every available product before choose one."
  • "CA solutions are generally expensive but for the customer the ROI is big."
  • "Symantec Siteminder is expensive; they could definitely do better on the price."
  • "The licensing is fair for this solution."
  • "Siteminder is a little costly. You pay for licensing, and they offer packages, so if you have less users, then you have to buy different products at different prices. If you have more of a user base, then the package is different. They also include other features—for example, if you have a database and you're using Siteminder, then it's good to use a Semantic-specific database, but if you are using less, then you have to purchase the database separately. Whereas if you are going for a bigger license, then it comes within the package. It depends on which plan you are using."
