Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It has a double authentication factor increasing the security level.""We can access our sign-ins and passwords on up to five devices per user. This means I can access a given site and my login and password for that site from my home and office computers as well as my phone and iPad.""The ability to autofill the login credentials has saved me a lot of time in my day to day computing.""The generator of complex passwords keeps me safe from being hacked.""Password sharing and SSO. These features almost become a necessity to make sure that company data is safe and reduce the possibility of data breach.""The chat support is quick. I have never encountered any problems. On the contrary, they have been very helpful and kind.""I can access my passwords from any Internet connected device.""It syncs with all devices and supports all platforms."

More Keeper Pros →

"The single sign-on is the solution's most valuable feature""Right now, federation that comes out-of-the-box with single sign-on is the most valuable feature that we have, and also scalability.""I liked the debugging part. There are only two files (trace file and log file) that you need to look into while performing debugging, and the logs give you the exact info on where and what needs to be fixed.""IWA is an out-of-the-box feature. The SAML-based federation is standard for all tools. However, CA Single Sign-On has made the federation configuration way too simple and handy to set up and use.""We almost never have outages nor see slowdowns.""A valuable feature of Siteminder is the way it handles bulk traffic. The features it has, in terms of routing the traffic and load balancing, are good.""It's quite scalable.""Federation is valuable, for sure, because we have a lot of third-party vendors that we need to integrate with, and this is a turnkey solution in some ways."

"Now we can easily control who has access to which client or client application.""You don't need to be a specialist in Identity and Access Management solutions to understand the software and configure it.""The Single Sign-On capabilities are endless and we haven't found a single app so far that couldn't be set up for SSO.""The most valuable feature is the option to use SSO from different sources such as Microsoft AD, ADFS, Azure AD, SAML, form-based, etc."

Cons
"Keeper does not provide password management for mobile apps.""The password rotation feature could be improved.""If you purchase the premium, then after the subscription expires, you cannot edit your passwords any longer, even if you could before you purchased the paid subscription.""Ability to store 'files' from IOS & Android devices. You can store pics from these devices currently. Most file formats can be uploaded from PC's/Macs""Maybe a sort of category organizer to help with organizing passwords for different things, such as banking, medical, shopping, and school.""I would add a category for personal documents or photos of ID cards.""Room for improvement in my eyes would be being able to share my credit cards and other types of information. The only thing they really share is passwords, and you can only do it with one password at a time. When you're trying to share it out or trying to remove it from being shared, you can't do multiple selections.""The technical support has no experience."

More Keeper Cons →

"We would like to the OAuth be more stable, more issues being fixed rather than not.""I think they need to integrate some of the newer types of authentication into the product. I'm not seeing the innovation when it comes to biometrics in the product.""I'd like to see a rework of the user directory configuration.""We are finding some compatibility issues. We're still working with CA on them.""The support could be faster.""We're currently unable to find information about if the solution can do a full implementation with SQL. Some better and more accessible documentation for new users or those curious about the product would be helpful.""The technical support could be better.""I would prefer to see their SAML integration be a more streamlined and easier interface."

More Symantec Siteminder Cons →

"When something needs to be changed with the sign-on policies, we have to apply this manually to every client environment that we have.""Integration with other Tools4ever applications such as SSRPM and IAM would be nice.""I would like to have the built-in provisioning module improved.""Sometimes it generates a username that is not unique, but at the time of this writing, it is not possible to generate a new one that is unique."

Pricing and Cost Advice

  • "Free works unless the paid is absolutely necessary."
  • "Pricing might be a little less, but with promo codes and family plan - best offer"
  • "It's definitely worth it and affordable. Their sales team can definitely help scale your needs on licensing and provide pricing options."
  • "Just buy the yearly subscription."
  • "Its cost is relative to the value of the information stored in Keeper."
  • "ROI is hard to know, but it has to be several times the expense of the product."
  • "We chose their optional annual subscription; I believe we paid monthly — I thought it was a good deal."

  • "The price is quite comparable to the other enterprise-level solutions in that market."
  • "I recommend conducting a PoC on every available product before choose one."
  • "CA solutions are generally expensive but for the customer the ROI is big."
  • "Symantec Siteminder is expensive; they could definitely do better on the price."
  • "The licensing is fair for this solution."
  • "Siteminder is a little costly. You pay for licensing, and they offer packages, so if you have less users, then you have to buy different products at different prices. If you have more of a user base, then the package is different. They also include other features—for example, if you have a database and you're using Siteminder, then it's good to use a Semantic-specific database, but if you are using less, then you have to purchase the database separately. Whereas if you are going for a bigger license, then it comes within the package. It depends on which plan you are using."
  • "The pricing is reasonable."

HelloID makes accessing applications easy by seamlessly integrating into an organization's portal where users already go for other information. It can also be offered through a familiar URL if a portal interface is not desired. By integrating HelloID into an existing portal, organizations make it simple for users to quickly find and access all the applications they need from a single dashboard. Once logged into the portal, the user sees an overview of the available cloud applications (e.g. Google Apps, Salesforce, Office 365, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.) and simply clicks on that application's icon.
