We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable feature is the ability to customize your rules and put them inside the tool.""Good user interface and good add option.""We use it for automating certain processes which previously took a lot of time for agents to set up different products for customers. They would have to enter a lot of different systems. This has now mostly been automated.""The Process Designer is good. We like how we can drag and drop and link the processes up, that works out great for us.""There are a lot of things that you get out-of-the-box: Timers and so on, which took a lot of effort and code before.""It continues to keep up with the changing needs of the business. That is the strong value proposition of BPM. It's not a one-time automation.""We like that it does not require a lot of hours to train our people.""Its dashboard is easy to use and very good. It allows us to customize."

"The WebCenter Content is its most valuable feature. After we update a document in WebCenter Content, it can be update automatically in our intranet.""You can move workloads in between sub-servers so that you don't overload a portion of the server.""Oracle integrates well with other products to cover Big Data.""It's a very scalable solution and the performance is pretty good. The scalability, in my opinion, is the biggest advantage.""A great solution for storing and searching large volumes of documents with easy access.""WebCenter's interface is very user-friendly.""Integration within the solution is very good."

More Oracle WebCenter Pros →

"It integrates well with other solutions.""The most valuable feature of WebLogic is it has excellent performance and stability compared to the previous solution we used.""What I've been seeing as the most valuable characteristics of WebLogic Suite include robustness and scalability. It's a really good solution, and I'm not saying this because my company is a partner of WebLogic Suite. I also like that with the newer versions of the solution, you can deploy WebLogic Suite faster. Oracle also provides excellent technical support.""This is a robust solution.""The most valuable feature is that it provides one place where you can control all of the services.""Scalability on the solution is great. It's very very easy to scale.""WebLogic adds a lot of value to business and investments.""WebLogic Suite is scalable."

Cons
"You must have good experience to work with it. It is not that easy. Its installation is complex, especially in the new version for business automation, and it could be improved. It has a safety application embedded inside it, and you need to do a lot of configuration to install it. I have been working for two days to resolve an issue.""IBM BPM uses JavaScript as a programming language for the server-side. I don’t know why it’s not Java, as it’s more powerful and the JavaScript part is translated into Java anyway.""Performance in the development environment space. I know that they have been taking it off the desktop version and putting on the web, and it is not 100% yet.""I would like to see a lot more case studies.""They don't have a mechanism to achieve processes, data sources, and data.""The analysis reports could be much better.""Needs better reporting. I do not think that we are fully taking advantage of what it already has yet.""IBM BPM integrated with Spark UI and the UI is now much better, but they still need to improve the UI because competitors have predefined templates and other additional features. In these competitor's solutions, you are able to use the templates, map your data, and the form is ready to use. With this solution, you need to write a lot of code to have the same quality as the competitor's templates. It would be a benefit to make this platform more towards low-code or no-code."

More IBM BPM Cons →

"This solution needs to support translation into the Arabic language.""Its functions need more stability.""I would like them to add more Web 2.0 features.""WebCenter requires a lot of design effort to upload content to our regular system.""There are many document management systems that offer pretty much the same functionalities but at a lower price. The product as such is pretty good. However, the pricing is not comparable. They need to adjust their pricing to be more competitive on the market.""The solution should be offered in Persian. Right now, our version is in English, and there's a bit of a language barrier between the users and the product.""The speed of the backup should be enhanced.""Does not seem to be totally compatible with Windows 10 as of our current version."

More Oracle WebCenter Cons →

"Lacking a solution for smaller applications.""Sometimes there are issues when we work on a VM because people use it to put all of their reports on it at the same time. Then I have to restart and rebuild the machine.""There are sometimes issues with clusters.""Support could be better. The expertise when we have some Oracle WebLogic issues and challenges is not there. The issues are not being addressed in time. This really needs to be improved going forward.""This solution would benefit from the inclusion of a ripple start function for clusters.""I think the support could be much better.""The content search is not easy.""I would like to see the licensing policy simplified."

    • More scalable processes: The solution enables better process execution and workflow automation, which transfers well when scaling processes.

    Reviews from Real Users

IBM BPM is a solution that stands out when compared to many of its competitors. Some of its major advantages are that it’s good for developing complex apps, is robust, and has helpful team management and process performance features.

Zoran C., Owner/CEO at IT SPHERE, says, “It is perfect if you have to develop complex apps without much coding (only java script). It is also good if you don't have much IT resources in your company and would like to involve business analysts in the process of developing apps. My opinion is that it can do about 50% of all developers' work.”

Suhas V., BPM Architect at GBM, mentions, “Overall the solution is robust and has the ability to integrate with any product for complex workflows."

A BPM Consultant at a financial services firm comments, "Some of the features that I like the most are team management and process performance. They are both very useful and very powerful with regard to the workflow."

A Digital Banking & Innovation Director at a financial services firm expresses, “The processing functionality makes it easy to change processes and workflows easily.”
