We performed a comparison between IBM MQ, Software AG Optimize for Infrastructure, and TIBCO Enterprise Message Service based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about IBM, TIBCO, Aurea and others in Business Activity Monitoring."The most valuable feature of IBM MQ is transaction processing."
"Technical support is quite helpful."
"It also has a backup queue concept and topics, features that I have not seen anywhere else. I like these features very much."
"Support for JMS 2.0, because we develop solutions compatible with Java EE7."
"Has helped integrate between applications, reduce rework, and costs by reusing working components of existing applications."
"I haven't seen any severe issues related to it. Most of the time it's running. That is the advantage of IBM MQ."
"The solution is very stable."
"The MQ protocol is widely used across multiple applications and it's so simple for connectivity."
"The infrastructure monitoring features are the most valuable. The primary purpose of Software AG Optimize for Infrastructure is to automate the aspects of monitoring various infrastructure and applications. They will definitely automate an alert automatically, but a lot of such tools differ from each other on aspects of various low-level components that they can monitor."
"It is very useful tool. It is also very easy to learn and implement."
"It allows us to achieve synchronous as well as asynchronous communication with the added advantage of making the communication reliable."
"The initial setup is straightforward and the product documentation is very good."
"The Enterprise Messaging Server will store the message and wait for other subscribers to come onto the network."
"TIBCO Enterprise Message Service's most valuable features are rapid zero-code integration and its large number of adapters and plugins."
"The setup was done by TIBCO. It has been stable and has a server."
"We have implanted the core middleware solution for the organization using this product and it is responsible for communication between different applications."
"I like TIBCO's ability to create versioned queues and persistent messages."
"There could be a better front-end GUI interface for us, where we can see things more easily."
"Presenting and maybe having some different options for different user experiences based on the administrative duties that you have to do as an app manager or configure the server or security would be an improvement."
"With IBM products, there's less marketing. If they do more demos and more seminars on their products, it will be very useful. On a given day. I get seminar invites for many vendors and products, but for IBM, I may get an invite once or twice a year."
"The clustering capabilities have provided some difficulties when it comes to resiliency. This has been a challenge for managing the environment."
"It would be an advantage if they can include streaming in IBM MQ, similar to Kafka. Kafka is used mainly for streaming purposes. This feature is clearly lacking in IBM MQ. If they add this feature to IBM MQ, it will have an edge over other products."
"It needs a User Interface which is better than the aging MQ Explorer. The existing solution MQ Explorer is outdated."
"I can't say pricing is good."
"Scaling is difficult with IBM MQ."
"Sometimes Software AG Optimize for Infrastructure goes through an upgrade cycle of four years to get to the next version. Some of the utilities need to be definitely advanced as well so that migration to the latest version is even smoother and easier. That could probably be the only improvements that they can look at. I definitely think that their cloud version capabilities are still nascent. They need to evolve into offering similar capabilities to the cloud infrastructure as well. That is not specifically SaaS but any managed infrastructure that customers would subscribe to in AWS, Azure, and other public clouds. How to employ Software AG Optimize for Infrastructure and also to see if it can be subscribed as a service from Software AG would be the ideal next steps for this solution to evolve into."
"Since all the communications goes through this product, it acts as a single point of failure."
"An area for improvement would be integration with the API layer."
"Overall, my experience with the support team has been disappointing."
"TIBCO also has its proprietary line of cloud-based applications, but specifically, these two products are not cloud compatible."
"I would like to see better integration with Java and Apache Kafka."
