We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The solution is user-friendly.""Its robustness is most valuable. It can handle massive amounts of data quickly. If it's properly configured and tuned, it can handle massive amounts of data very quickly to produce results. That to me is the number one feature.""We can see almost-real-time performance in our operations. When there is a problem, it is easy to escalate it to top management and the time for management to make a decision about it is much shorter than it would be using a manual process.""I have found the most valuable features are business intelligence and reporting.""In terms of features, everything is good. It is also stable and scalable.""The most valuable features are the lexical parameters and distribution.""The setup isn't too difficult.""I like the cloud deployment feature. There are about 20 new features, and they are available on mobile and more. I haven't used any of them, but these features are highly attractive."

"The end-user reporting is very handy and the standard reports that can be achieved by using Jaspersoft Studio are quite impressive.""The designer is the most valuable feature.""We find the access restrictions on different user groups valuable.""You can do quite a lot with it in terms of automated reports and dashboards.""The feature that I like most is the drag and drop capability.""With the online view, it's easier to create Ad Hoc reports. It has inbuilt reports so we can easily get data from the system and customize the fields.""Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten...The deployment process of TIBCO Jaspersoft is easy.""We can set any property dynamically."

"Ask Zia is a great feature that I use to quickly decide what improvements I need to make in order to present the data that I want to show.""The front end of this solution including the graph generation using SQL has been most useful.""It provides insights into leads, information about the team and about various sales activities. The graphical representations in the form of charts is excellent.""The integration interface is very easy to use and allows you to directly connect to a variety of APIs.""It's a very strong analytics tool.""We really like that it's user friendly and has a lot of combinations and charts. They're good compared to other tools. We used a free Elastic product, comparatively, this solution is good because of their support, UI, and connecting to databases is very easy.""The solution’s dashboard is very good.""Zoho Analytics's most valuable feature is the ability to provide excellent analytics through a single platform."

More Zoho Analytics Pros →

Cons
"While it is a user-friendly, data-driven tool, the data modeling should be easier to use.""The solution needs to be easier to scale.""Oracle products have a lot of complications...Oracle has a history of not really providing great support.""Oracle OBIEE only displays KPIs, but it does not include strategic objectives or display risk in a strategic map.""The main problem we face is migrating all of the reports into the solution.""I would like to see Machine Learning included in this solution.""The performance and the complex setup are the main reason for switching to Qlik Sense.""One significant improvement is the need for simplification. The set up could be more intuitive. An enterprise setup with HA and DR are pretty complex and to get a robust solution one has to play around with Real Application Cluster data sources and FAN notifications as well as WebLogic clustering and external load balancers. SSO also is not that simple to set up especially if you want all your Oracle systems to use the same SSO solution, i.e., no cheating with direct LDAP connectivity."

More Oracle OBIEE Cons →

"There might be some compatibility issues with the dashboard if we're using the latest version and some clients are using the older version. Some features might not be supported.""TIBCO Jaspersoft would benefit from enabling you to run multiple reports in one file and incorporating more options related to multiple reports.""The upgrades are not easy.""The stability of TIBCO Jaspersoft needs improvement.""Customization is an area with certain shortcomings in the solution that needs improvement.""I would like to see better support for big data.""The Ad Hoc Report Writer does not include as many features as Tableau and needs to be improved to meet expectations.""The reporting templates have room for improvement."

More TIBCO Jaspersoft Cons →

"They should provide white labeling with a cheaper option. I know they have a white labeling feature in which I can white label Zoho Analytics with my company theme, logo, and URL, but it seems a little expensive. If they can make it cheaper, it would be great. The same is applicable to Tableau.""The tool needs to improve analysis and add more features.""There should be more types of graphics available for use in the reports.""The customer service and support for this solution could be improved by faster response times.""The support for Zoho Analytics is pathetic.""A higher degree of artificial intelligence could be included in this solution. The data and overall insights could be improved.""The platform's pricing needs improvement.""There is a limitation that we cannot create more than 300 columns in a worksheet on Zoho Analytics."

Any company (be it technology, manfucaturing, human resource, ecommerce, SME etc) always has the need for Business Intelligence to some or the other extent. If cost is one of the consideration factor, then the 2 BI tools which are at the forefront are Pentaho and Jaspersoft. But, often the same companies are caught up in an imbrogilo as to which tool to use, what are the technology/and end business user wise differences/ do i actually need to purchase commercial edition, is there any work around etc. Differences :- In the below mentioned points, I have tried to cover functionality wise the differences a. Reports :- Jaspersoft is known for its picture pixel perfect reporting. Jasper uses ireport for designing the reports. Hence, for having reports, Jaspersoft is the most ideal candidate. Pentaho uses Pentaho Report Designer. b. Dashboards :- Pentaho provides much more capabililties, interactivity in terms of dashboards. Dashboards designed in Pentaho are far more superior in functionality, aesthetically as compared to Jaspersoft. Pentaho CE uses CDE/CDF, Pentaho EE uses PDD . Dashboard functionality is present only in the Enterprise edition of Jaspersoft. c. Pentaho is having an intermediate layer known as Xactions & hence providing much more flexibility in terms of plugin designing, integration with applications, having out of box experience etc. Xactions supports scripting and scheduling of scripts execution. Jaspersoft dosent provide that much of flexibility in terms of… Read more →

    Reviews from Real Users

Sandeep V., Process System Engineer at a comms service provider, tells us, “This solution is very easy for people who are building ad-hoc things. It's an enterprise solution so it can be deployed for a lot of users. There are some great new features that come with the 12c like data visualization, desktop BI Publisher, automation, and interactive dashboards. The product has good features. “

A user who is a CEO at a consultancy relates, “The most valuable feature is the visualization. The data warehousing, data storage, and data wrangling are all features that are in there, and it's one of the better products out there. A good thing is that for large datasets, it's very stable, especially when you have an Oracle database.”

A user who is a Principal Business Intelligence Architect at a computer software company suggests, "It is very biased towards Oracle infrastructure. One of the major red flags we have at the moment against Oracle is that it doesn't support deployment on other cloud providers. We're quite heavily vested in AWS as our infrastructure, and Oracle is yet to formally support deploying on those virtual infrastructure instances. That's quite disappointing, and it also cuts them out of over 70% of the market."

TIBCO Jaspersoft is a versatile BI tool used for creating and integrating reports, with added functionality for business intelligence such as ad hoc report writers, online report writers, and dashboard designers. It is used for various purposes such as employee performance, revenue management and billing reports, and IT operational reporting.

The solution can be deployed on-premises or in the cloud, is user-friendly, with drag-and-drop report creation, access restrictions for user groups, and connectivity to multiple data sources. It has helped organizations fulfill their needs related to security and create reports quickly, with easy scheduling and report creation with different parameters.

Zoho Reports is a powerful, easy-to-use and highly scalable cloud-based reporting and business intelligence platform for small to medium-sized businesses. Its flexible pay-as-you-go pricing model and scope for customization allow businesses to tailor it to their unique needs.
