We performed a comparison between AirMagnet Survey, RedSeal, and Tufin Orchestration Suite based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about Ekahau, NetAlly, iBwave and others in Network Modeling and Simulation."Customer service is great."
"The benefit is with the ease of use of the software, I am able to show the customer, "Here is what your wireless coverage looks like." It is set up in a fashion that non-technical people can understand it."
"The addition of the AirMapper software on the nXG and our AirCheck G2s has helped a lot because we're mostly not drilling down into the data. Local managers only need to see the coverage on their end and whether there are performance bottlenecks. These things are easy enough for us to ascertain with iPerf."
"It is reliable and easy to use (user-friendly). The heat mapping, passive network surveying, and doing the heat mapping of a building's wireless network allows me to see what level of coverage an area has."
"I would like to rate the product as eight of ten."
"It allows us to prepare more real designs. Later, we validate them with actual surveys."
"We use the solution for Wi-Fi and networks."
"The predictive survey is the most valuable feature. I use it quite often."
"RedSeal integrates the network and gives us a visual or graphical overview of our network. If an organization is geographically dispersed, for instance, with one office in Canada and one office in the Philippines, the whole network, including all devices, is integrated into RedSeal, and you can see from where the traffic is going in and out."
"This is the only solution in the world that gives you a digital resilience score."
"The most valuable features are network mapping and configuration."
"The change workflow process is flexible and customizable. We have one guy who has never logged into Tufin ever in his life. He sits down and in 30 minutes had written an automation routine, then went back and changed it. He did that with no training. For me, that is a major benefit."
"Being able to customize your own clarity to that aspect of change management."
"One of the main things is to look at what policies haven't been hit, so we can remove those remnant policies when people come in, use it, and it's still left on the Check Point. So when a couple of users say, "This is not needed anymore." We'll remove it."
"The change workflow process is flexible and customizable. I was really impressed with it. It's pretty easy. You can add automatic validation steps. Depending on the security matrix, you can pre-allow whatever flow you want."
"The clarity around the auditing provides the most value for us."
"Our engineers are spending less time on manual processes, specifically for the reporting functionality. For doing the rule cleanup and policy analysis, it would be a nightmare to do that manually. So, it is saving our engineering teams time from not having to do manual log reviews."
"The features I have found most valuable are its capability to check on the firewall and the routers. Afterwards it checks out all the configs, checks the vulnerabilities, checks the risks - it checks everything that may end up causing our router to be compromised. At the end it recommendations what we should do."
"Our customer has the ability to centrally monitor and view all changes that have been made in the network, and they are able to revert any problems that they encounter, if somebody has made a problematic change."
"Less time consumed doing the real surveys."
"When you conduct an active survey and then want to use it for design work, it's actually not very useful."
"I would say some of our newer techs that are going out to job sites can be a little bit intimidated by the interface."
"Printouts are JPEG printouts. The AirMagnet software is proprietary. I can't send my customers a file, because it is AirMagnet file, even for building projects. I can only send JPEGs or screenshots of heat maps."
"The surveying features are in need of improvement, along with general usability."
"It would be nice to have some more training resources for younger techs. We can use them if we need some assistance, but that usually requires one of us who knows what we're doing to calibrate the programs properly."
"AirMagnet Survey doesn't cover certain devices in the system."
"But it's definitely a more expensive solution than other ones."
"One of the areas of concern is the GUI. It is important to our customers that the GUI looks beautiful. It's a Java Client, so you have a Java dependency."
"Sometimes, it required us to refresh the configuration. When we integrated any of the configurations into the device, sometimes, it could not detect the exact picture of that device. So, we had to reset the device to see that if it was giving true-positive results or false-positive results. In some cases, we were not able to get true-positive results. There was some kind of bug in that version. Its interface is not user-friendly and needs to be improved. It takes time to understand the interface and various options. Skybox has quite a user-friendly interface. They could provide a feature for compliance audit policy if it is already not there. A compliance audit policy ensures that all configurations are based on the best practices standards, such as CIS benchmarks standard or other similar standards. It provides visibility about whether your device configuration is based on best practices or not. Usually, such a feature is provided by other solutions such as Meteor or Tenable Nessus."
"The dashboard should be improved to make correlating data easier to do."
"The policy browser has had trouble working. We have experienced bugs."
"I would like to see the setup of the Unified Security Policy simplified."
"A big improvement would be on the USP policy. If we could use Palo Alto to take those zone names and auto import them into the policy, then just do the policy based on the zone names instead of having to put in every single subnet."
"The product that we have deployed for our main process gets bogged down in terms of its response. Maybe, we need to deploy a slightly smaller box. Eventually, we need to discuss this with Tufin is to see if we can move over to some sort of VM environment where we can add more processing power to it."
"This solution would benefit from better reporting functionality with graphing so that reports can be presented to management."
"It does not natively support all of the Check Point functions which is a big deal."
"Currently, we have to get different data from different sections of the site. It would be nice if it was all combined into one."
"The product should integrate with the UTM features."
