We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It is a low-code and high-configuration platform, which is very valuable. Develop once and run anywhere is another useful feature. It also has connectors for more than 200 applications. It provides value for money. Our customers who have implemented this solution have a very high ROI.""The iPaaS functionality is very mature. The browser based IDE is also very mature and stable.""Boomi AtomSphere Integration is stable.""It is easy to learn and implement.""This solution has a user-friendly interface and very good documentation with solutions that helped us in working with the tool efficiently.""I have found the solution to be scalable.""The product's initial setup phase was easy.""The connection configuration part and the drag-and-drop integration module are the most valuable features for me."

"It can handle API conversions with mapping and transformation rules, simplifying the development process.""It's stable to use, connect with the cloud, and to deploy.""Provides good security features.""The most valuable feature is the security.""The solution is fast and supports Open UI 3.0 certification.""App Connect's best feature is that it can be deployed in a container.""I would say that the most valuable feature is the array of connectors and integration tools.""It has an efficient design flow."

More IBM App Connect Pros →

"The ability to connect web applications to trigger actions in another app after having enriched, formatted, delayed, grouped, and filtered is really valuable for many businesses.""Zapier is a really good tool for connecting multiple different platforms and data sources. For example, with Quickbase, I can easily integrate data from other sources like AWS or task-tracking platforms such as ClickUp or Asana.""With the previous CRM we were using – the Google Ads landing pages we had – we were collecting leads manually. That process was not efficient and took a sales team a lot of time to insert these leads manually. Currently, the process is smooth and we use Zapier to collect the leads for us.""Zapier luckily has a wide range of integrations, I would say.""The product's most valuable feature is automation.""The product's initial setup phase was very easy.""The connection between Facebook lead forms and MailChimp integrations is the most valuable feature.""Zapier handles everything under the sun that you would think you need in automation. It is the most mature integration platform and service on the market."

Cons
"In my experience, I haven't encountered any major issues with the tool. However, there could be a learning curve for new users, especially depending on which tool you're using. For example, I've used MuleSoft in the past, which is more code-oriented and requires knowledge of Java. Transitioning to Boomi AtomSphere Integration took me a couple of months because of differences in terminology.""The solution is complex. There's a few items and features that are hard to understand. They should work to simplify the functionality so new users don't struggle.""There are still some areas that need improvement. For example, when updates are going on, the product becomes very slow.""The high price of the solution is an area of concern where improvements are required.""In day-to-day operations, tracking transactions is a major challenge. It takes hours to track a single transaction. It is not a straightforward process.""It crashes if we run high-volume integration.""There are more mature (dedicated) API management and master data management (MDM) solutions available in the market.""The product could be a little bit more user-friendly."

More Boomi AtomSphere Integration Cons →

"It is not easy to deploy. It requires someone with a high level of knowledge in the solution to deploy it, not just anyone can do it.""More connectors could be available for the product as some of the third-party software doesn't have default connectors.""They reply in one or two hours at most, but they could be better.""In the next release, I would like to get some quality connectors.""The setup time for App Connect could be improved.""The interface could be better.""Updates are constantly delayed.""IBM App Connect should improve security features."

More IBM App Connect Cons →

"The pricing of the solution is quite expensive.""The user interface for Zapier could be improved. It also takes some time to sync the data between different environments.""I think that this solution should have more apps connected to it.""My biggest concern with Zapier would be their pricing strategy.""Zapier needs more YouTube or video tutorials or more training for people. That would help a lot. In particular, Zapier should have documentation for every connector. Its documentation needs to be more detailed and visual.""Zapier needs to improve in the same way most RPA solutions should, such as Robocorp, Make, or UiPath. They are not good at helping you find the connections that you need for the problem that you have. For example, if need something on Instagram. I'm going to have to do research for hours to be able to find the components or the app, which is going to do what I need it to do. It makes it difficult to use the system when you don't know what to use.""There is room for improvement in the support. They are not responsive, and they don't take much time to get resolved.""It could support various languages along with Python."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The Platinum package is good for licensing, but I’m not sure about the cost and improvements."
  • "They do not charge by the number of people using the software (client-server model), but rather they charge based on the number of connections used. This makes it very cost effective."
  • "The licensing model of Dell Boomi is based on a ‘pay-per-use’ model."
  • "This solution is very economical (based on the connections)."
  • "The pricing is a bit complex. While the entry fee may be lower than other solutions, it could be expensive depending on your usage."
  • "When it comes to pricing, it's not so much about being less expensive as it is about how they don't tie to the hardware on the underlined VMware that you run on, as other vendors do"
  • "The cost of the solution is in the neighborhood of $20,000 annually. There are no costs above the standard licensing fee."
  • "Approximately 20k annually."

  • "It is very expensive if we want to scale."
  • "The price could be better."
  • "The licensing cost for IBM App Connect is very high."
  • "The cost depends upon the consumer."
  • "Initially, App Connect was quite expensive because the cost was based on the number of processors we used. However, it's now based on containers, which means we can be more specific about our consumption and get a better price."
  • "The solution's pricing isn't cheap, but you can get good discounts based on your competitive deal."

  • "There is a free plan that is, of course, limited. However, it allows you to understand and check true scenarios for a while."
  • "Think your Zaps through to make sure you don't use more Zaps than you need."
  • "It's very straightforward licensing. There's only one cost you have to pay, and if you want a relevant pricing plan, I think you have two or three different models or packages which include the number of notifications or Zaps, as they call it, that you can program."
  • "The price of Zapier is approximately $75 monthly."
  • "Zapier is a paid service. Its license renews monthly, and Zapier will downgrade your subscription to the free version when your credit card doesn't have funds. That significantly impacts your service because everything halts completely. Zapier doesn't have any hidden costs."
  • "Per task, there is a monthly plan involving 15 euros...Also, in different forms, they just give you the ability to use different features. They charge 18.58 euros for the first standard plan, which includes 750 tasks. So, it is about 25 cents per task."
  • "It's very affordable."
  • "The least expensive plan is $24 a month, and you can go all the way to $800 a month if you're a huge company using many tasks."

    Overview

The Boomi AtomSphere integration platform as a service (iPaaS) supports all your application integration processes – between cloud platforms, software-as-a-service applications, and on-premises systems. Your entire team has online access to a powerful range of integration and data management capabilities, that can be realized in a fraction of the time of legacy middleware technologies.

Rapidly connect public clouds, private clouds and on-premises application

App Connect Professional is IBM’s cloud integration offering which delivers an integration solution
    • With ease-of-use, flexibility and increased responsiveness to the evolving business needs, while removing the daunting complexities of integration.
    • Provides the powerful combination of a ‘simple integration experience’ for business users looking to automate how their applications talk to each other; coupled with a ‘configuration based integration’ approach for IT.
    • App Connect Professional is for the teams and integration developers who need to solve more complex problems and need powerful tooling for integration scenarios

Zapier is a tool for primarily non-technical users to connect together web apps.

An integration between two apps is called a Zap. A Zap is made up of a Trigger and one or more Actions or Searches.

Whenever the trigger happens in one app, Zapier will automatically perform the actions or searches in another app in order.

Zaps are very lightweight and easy to set up. Zaps do not import or export old data (they only operate on new items created after the Zap is enabled). Zaps are also not kept in sync ("two way syncing") after the Zap is triggered.

Zaps are deceivingly simple if you're used to dealing with complex and difficult integrations. Their simplicity is what enables anyone to create them.
