We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"I have customers that like the EUBA functionality of it. The solution has the ability to build a session, basically. It pulls a lot of information together, for example, everything a user does in a specific timeframe. It's quite helpful.""Exabeam Fusion SIEM has a good performance and more advantages than traditional solutions.""The setup is not difficult. It was easy.""Timeline based analysis; good platform support""The advanced analytics has a really great overview of user behavior.""The solution's initial setup process is easy.""The way it can connect with AWS is very useful, and the integrations are pretty good.""The most valuable feature of Exabeam Fusion SIEM is the easy-to-use user interface."

"The solution is very scalable in terms of the licensing model.""Rapid7 is easy to use and deploy. It is a simple solution and has easy data pulling.""The technical support is a solid 10 out of 10 as they take the time to answer any questions or problems which may arise in a reasonable time frame.""Features for user behavior analytics and the rules for attack review are good.""The UI is very good.""It improved my organization by building a security alerting program.""The ability to ingest Office 365 log files, then process them into events and display them on a map.""Dashboards, including the main screen, provide much-needed information at a glance, without hours of coding and sifting through logs to find it. In case of an actual security incident, I have faith that insightIDR has retained all logs in a secure manner that prevents log tampering as well."

More Rapid7 InsightIDR Pros →

"The product is at the forefront of auto-remediation networking. It's great.""It's straightforward in terms of configuration and troubleshooting and log management and monitoring as well. These are the edge points in addition to it being a modular solution where you can capitalize on your current licenses with extra licensing models, which can match the customer's business requirement and it can help the customer to design or to actually plan for their own roadmap.""The solution is definitely scalable.""The most valuable feature is the ability to search through a large amount of data.""It is a solution that helps test and measure customer satisfaction.""The most valuable feature is being able to take data and put it into other systems so that we could see the output, and to see where we need to apply our focus.""The most valuable features are the indexing and powerful search features.""The most valuable features are its data aggregation and the ability to automatically identify a number of threats, then suggest recommended actions upon them."

Cons
"We had a large volume right from the beginning and they weren't quite prepared for that. That's something that they should think about when it comes to customers that have a large volume to start off with.""Updating the new release of Exabeam Fusion SIEM takes time and slows our performance.""The only problem is that the UI is not very impressive.""The initial setup of Exabeam Fusion SIEM is complex because it needs to integrate with the SIEM solution, but after this is complete it is straightforward.""I believe if it were more flexible it would be a better product.""They should provide detailed information about detecting phishing emails.""Adding to the number of certifications that they have, for example, ISO 27001, would be helpful.""We still have questions surrounding hardware deployment."

More Exabeam Fusion SIEM Cons →

"Rapid7 doesn't integrate well with all our security tools from various vendors, so we plan to switch. Many of our solutions work with Rapid7, but some do not. We are already searching for a replacement already.""It takes time for the product's support team to resolve issues, making it an area of concern where improvements are required.""Tenable Nessus is easier to deal with. It's more efficient and accurate. InsightIDR is heavier than Tenable in terms of performance and scanning. Rapid7 would be much easier to use if it had a network connector like Tenable. Tenable's connector allows continuous monitoring over the B caps.""I feel it would greatly benefit from more supported log sources.""One thing that springs to mind is easier API integration with ITSMs. We are evaluating a new ITSM and I would like to have InsightIDR create a ticket when an attack is identified, and the ticket would be closed in InsightIDR when the ITSM resolution is completed. This would take out the "single point of failure" we currently have, if the email recipient is somehow absent, in recording the risk appetite for the incident and the actions taken to mitigate or not.""The reporting is the weakest aspect. There needs to be multi-level grouping for events (for example, group by user and destination). Right now, we can do a group by user and a separate table or group by destination. But I'd be more interested in where a person was logging into instead of who was logging in or where he was logging in.""The main problem lies in the processes within the client's operating systems.""Needs a better ability to customize the check within the console."

More Rapid7 InsightIDR Cons →

"They should work to add more built-in correlation searches and more use cases based on worldwide customer experiences. They need more ready-made use cases.""If the price was lowered and the setup process was less complex, I would consider rating it higher.""I would like improved downward integration with other tools such as McAfee and other GCP solutions.""The solution is much more expensive than relative competitors like ArcSight or LogRhythm. It makes it hard to sell to customers sometimes.""We'd like the ability to do custom searches.""The initial setup was complex because some of the configurations that we required needed customization.""In the future I would like to see simplified statistics and analytical threats.""I'm not aware of any lacking features."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "They have a great model for pricing that can be based either on user count or gigabits per day."
  • "There is an annual license required to use Exabeam Fusion SIEM. The price of the solution should be reduced."
  • "Exabeam Fusion SIEM's pricing is reasonable."
  • "The solution is expensive."

  • "I am sure that there are cheaper products out there, but none that meet so many of our needs whilst maintaining stability and usability."
  • "The team is very willing to work with companies. My suggestion is to call the Rapid7 sales department and see how they can help."
  • "Licensing is straightforward. If, for some reason, you don’t meet the minimum licensing requirements, there is a third-party managed service that can help."
  • "Accurately predict your licensing counts as this is a subscription based product."
  • "The pricing and licensing are competitive."
  • "Licensing is by endpoint and amount of retention time (at least ours is). Default retention was one year, but we are able to push the retention further if needed. There's also a provide-your-own-S3 option for longer retention if you don't want to pay for the additional retention years in your Rapid7 agreement."
  • "It is a reasonably priced solution."
  • "It is on a yearly basis. For our own company, for about 250 users, it was 16,000 euros a year."
  • More Rapid7 InsightIDR Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "I hope we can increase the free license to be more than 5 gig a day. This would help people who want to introduce a POC or a demo license for the solution."
  • "My biggest complaint is the way they do pricing... You can never know the pricing for next year. Every single time you adjust to something new, the price goes up. It's impossible to truly budget for it. It goes up constantly."
  • "There are additional costs associated with the integrator."
  • "The licensing costs is around 10,000 dollars."
  • "Pricing varies based on the packages you choose and the volume of your usage."
  • "I am not aware of the price, but it is expensive."
