We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable feature is the flexibility of the searching elements of the metadata.""I like the ease of use, sections, and calendar.""Document repository.""The product allows engineering teams and developers to introduce new things in a seamless and easy way."

"Using M-Files means anybody on the executive team to go in and immediately look at a dashboard and know the status of a contract."

More M-Files Pros →

"The most valuable feature is to be able to modify the file online and keep it stored on the cloud, since it is not necessary to download it to make modifications.""They have support for integration with a lot of tools.""With this solution, the sharing of documents if very easy to do. There's a lot of collaboration you can do with your colleagues.""The feature that I have found the most valuable is that Microsoft OneDrive works with any Enterprise Cloud Solutions Office app. You can edit a document on the cloud, share documents with your colleagues, and monitor changes. You can access your work almost anywhere. You can also sync Microsoft OneDrive with your workstation so that whatever you are working on gets automatically backed up to the cloud at regular intervals. So even if your system crashes, you still have a copy of your documents in the cloud, which I found very useful.""It helps you keep organized.""The most valuable feature of the solution is the amount of space allotted to each user that is issued a subscription.""It is well integrated with other Microsoft products.""It's quite easy to use and then of course it is quite well integrated to the rest of Office 365."

Cons
"Alfresco has a very steep learning curve, and unfortunately, during the learning process, it's very easy to make errors, which often are unforgiving.""I think the presentation layer could be improved - currently, it's too complex, and there are too many features cluttered all over the screen.""Metadata, auto class, disposition log, and legal hold.""I would like them to consider document capture functionality."

More Alfresco Cons →

"The integration with other products needs to be improved."

More M-Files Cons →

"Technical support is not very impressive and is typical of large company software support.""The solution has sub-folders, which are visible to various team members. If you want to ensure the information is private, you would need to have a certain level of seniority in the office.""OneDrive is a bit behind competing products like Dropbox and Box.""Support has not been the same since the beginning of COVID lockdowns.""I would advice not storage sensitive information since it could be prone to hacking.""There are not enough ways to assign permissions to shared folders and files.""The security is not as flexible as it is with Dropbox, which means that we can't share our OneDrive files.""The area that can be improved is to be able to share easily with folks outside the organization and with folks who don't have an office account. Sometimes, when you send a link, you might have some form of repetition. If you don't know how to share it properly, whoever you are sharing it with will have issues using it. Also, the link that you use to share a document can be made a bit shorter. It doesn't have to be long. Typically, when you want to share a document, it has everything, such as the name of the organization, SharePoint, etc. A short URL will be easier to use, and it will just make life easier, especially because a lot of people are now going mobile. I'm not sure if there's a mobile version of Microsoft OneDrive, similar to Google Drive. If they don't have a mobile app, it would also be nice to have a mobile app because that would help in checking out your documents. It would be easy to check your documents on the go on your phone."
