Pros
"The most valuable feature is its scalability. I can easily scale the block from terabytes to gigabytes.""The most valuable feature of the solution is backup...Amazon EBS is a very good product since it is very easy to enhance or increase and migrate your servers immediately, in a matter of seconds.""The most important feature is the volume types in those hundred EDS. For example, if you need a volume with high IOPS, you should choose an io2 or io2 Block Express volume type. The default volume type for EBS is GP3, which is a good balance of performance and price for most workloads.""The tool has different types of volumes, like SSD and HDD.""The durability and snapshot capabilities are good.""Amazon EBS is a storage system, and the storage is attached to the servers.""The product’s most valuable feature is IOPS.""When it comes to valuable features, ease of use would be number one."

It's tough reaching the right person to get them sorted out.""The tool could be made cheaper.""The technical support has room for improvement."

More Amazon S3 Glacier Cons →

"The pricing could be improved. They need to make the costs more transparent so users know what they will be charged and why ahead of time.""The upload speed has room for improvement.""They can improve the ability to assign permissions to different groups or users.""There is room for improvement in helping customers understand and integrate Azure File Storage into their operations.""Importing and exporting data needs to have a bit more documentation.""The way retention policies are applied could be more optimized.""One thing that Azure File Storage could help us with is some kind of impact assessment. When we talk to some of our larger customers who have between 500 and 1,000 applications, we normally do an assessment of all these applications and then tell them which ones are ready to be lifted and shifted, and which ones need to re-architected. It would really help if Azure File Storage could come up with a better way to give estimations of the total investment required, including all costs incurred during the migration.""Firewall rules should be introduced to secure the access date from any virus attacks. Anti-virus should be introduced in the work filtering and document filtering."

    Overview

Amazon Elastic Block Store (Amazon EBS) provides persistent block level storage volumes for use with Amazon EC2 instances in the AWS Cloud.  Each Amazon EBS volume is automatically replicated within its Availability Zone to protect you from component failure, offering high availability and durability. Amazon EBS volumes offer the consistent and low-latency performance needed to run your workloads. With Amazon EBS, you can scale your usage up or down within minutes – all while paying a low price for only what you provision.

Amazon Glacier is a secure, durable, and extremely low-cost cloud storage service for data archiving and long-term backup. Customers can reliably store large or small amounts of data for as little as $0.007 per gigabyte per month, a significant savings compared to on-premises solutions. To keep costs low, Amazon Glacier is optimized for infrequently accessed data where a retrieval time of several hours is suitable.

Fully managed file shares that use the standard SMB 3.0 protocol

    Key scenarios:

    • Share data across on-premises and cloud servers
    • Migrate file share-based applications to the cloud with no code changes
    • Integrate modern applications with File storage
    • Simplify hosting for high availability workload data
