"The product is easy to use.""It is the most feature-rich platform.""The solution is easy to use.""Amazon S3 Glacier is an easy-to-use solution.""The product automatically replicates objects from a S3 bucket in one region to another bucket in a different region.""Data retrieval, security, compliance, and storage archiving are the most valuable features of Amazon S3 Glacier.""Amazon S3 Glacier is a very cheap storage, where we store infrequently used data.""The data archive feature is valuable."

"It can scale.""The initial setup for the production areas was on premise, which is very simple.""The tool is most valuable for scenarios involving logs and monitoring. For example, logs are generated when using services like Front Door.""I like the product’s versioning and file share features. The file share feature is most useful when we are connecting on-premises services. Azure file share helps to migrate small data amounts from on-premises to the cloud.""We use the solution to develop SaaS platforms on Azure. We utilize various Microsoft components like block storage and databases for this purpose.""It's easy to deploy, easy to scale up, and pay-as-you-go.""This is a very stable solution.""You can easily access your data whenever you need it."

Cons
"You need to fully understand the solution's best practices to get the most out of its security features.""The read drive speed is not as fast as it should be.""They could always increase object storage ability.""We have cold storage here, and I think that's useful. When it comes to commercialization, it's cheaper to put data that you won't be using into the data storage. You only use a little bit of the data needed each day for your transition, so you pay less.""The upload speed for data and documents is sometimes slow.""The cost of the solution should be reduced.""The solution needs to improve test recognition.""Amazon S3 could improve the limitation on how much data can be stored."

It's tough reaching the right person to get them sorted out.""The solution's cloud storage is very expensive, and users may not be able to afford cloud storage.""The product needs to improve cloud security.""The solution's cost optimization could be improved.""The solution's pricing is too expensive and could be improved.""The response times could be faster. When you are with Amazon and use Glacier, you expect a response time between four to seven hours to retrieve the data.""Amazon S3 Glacier's data retrieval time is slow compared to other AWS storage services and should be improved.""They can improve data discovery."

More Amazon S3 Glacier Cons →

"One of the biggest challenges on Azure infrastructure is that sometimes we don't get what we want. Either we have to wait for it or contact support because something is not working for us... It's the system availability that is the difficult point.""If the documentation could be improved then it would be very good. Right now, if you face a question, you have to guess how it works or you have to test your hypothesis.""Some big customers have experienced some problems with the stability of the Azure cloud.""I would like for the next release to replace the CDN being used for content delivery, there is currently a rather long delay.""There are capacity limitations that could be expanded.""The user interface is very difficult.""Licensing costs are pretty high.""The security is poor, and the sharing model is confusing, conceptually. I'd prefer not to use it. I'd like a user-friendly web interface and a better security model."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "With S3 Standard, there is not a charge for deletion of objects."
  • "This solution has reasonable pricing and a low cost."
  • "The licensing is pay as you go, and I'm happy with the pricing."
  • "The cost of storage is cheap. However, the cost to have a better interface can get expensive. We are using Athena for this purpose and if we did some heavy queries the cost will start adding up. When the Athena query is running, it will scan the bucket and they charge for how many GBs we are going to scan. The function of scanning has a lot of costs attached to it, this is a negative point."
  • "The price of the Amazon S3 is low. The license model is based on what you use."
  • "The price of Amazon S3 depends on various variables. However, the price overall is fair."
  • "The price of Amazon S3 could be less expensive."
  • "The license of Amazon S3 is based on volume, capacity, and time. The overall price of the solution could improve. The support has to be added if you want it at an additional cost."

  • "Amazon S3 Glacier is much cheaper than competing products."
  • "There is no license, you pay for what you use."
  • "The solution is cost-effective."
  • "The product is cheap."
  • "Amazon S3 Glacier is expensive."
  • "Amazon S3 Glacier is a cost-effective solution for archiving."
  • "The pricing must be improved."
  • "Amazon S3 Glacier is very cheap, but the cost becomes a concern when you have a very large amount of data."
  • More Amazon S3 Glacier Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "The solution is affordable, and we only pay for what we use."
  • "For the first 50DB, they cost around $50. It's an open solution for everybody. Anybody can go to the Microsoft website and they can get the pricing for it. But the first 50GB of data is a default rate and then it increases for the next 500GB or something like that. It is a pay as you go solution. The more you use, the more you pay. That's normally how you pay for any cloud solutions."
  • "In terms of pricing, Azure is quite cheaper than AWS. However, I have recently read that Oracle Cloud Generation 2 storage is quite cheaper than Azure. I haven't used it yet. We need to look at a customer's requirements, and, based on that, we can suggest the storage. You can save at least 20% with Azure as compared to AWS, which is quite costly."
  • "Azure Block Storage is higher priced than its competitors."
  • "We pay around $300 to $400 a month for some scenarios where consumption is limited. However, going forward, we're seeing the likelihood of the cost coming to around $2,000 as consumption rises."
  • "The price of Microsoft Azure Block Storage could be less expensive."
  • "The cost is very low. The cost is something like $0.01 to $0.50 per gig. It's pay per use. We have a yearly license."
  • "The price of Microsoft Azure Block Storage is less expensive than other solutions on the market, such as Cloud Storage from GCP."
