We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The customization and the transparency of data while still maintaining a mostly user-friendly UI, are key features. It allows for me, as an engineer, to evolve the individual components and modules, and to create a much more meaningful picture than the individual pieces in isolation ever could."

"Technical support is great. Palo Alto is extremely helpful and responsive.""It basically automates the entire alert investigation process.""The ease of deployment is a valuable feature."

More SECDO Platform Pros →

"We have another piece of that infrastructure that does what they call threat emulation. It's like sandboxing where it takes files that it doesn't know about, puts them in a VM-type environment, and it kicks them off to see if there's any malware or tendencies that might look like malware, that kind of thing.""The initial setup is pretty straightforward.""The best feature of this solution is that we have a live response, which is really tailored to our needs.""The initial setup was fairly easy.""Carbon Black Defense has a higher detection ratio because it's cloud-based and it also does a lookup to virus total.""Behavioral Monitoring stops known malicious events before they even begin.""The new feature that we're deploying, the new offering from Carbon Black, is MDR, which stands for manage, detect, and response. It's the most valuable feature because Carbon Black will be continuously checking the logs, and they will be advising us on how to improve some of the policies as well as review the logs. If there are any nefarious agents or things happening on the end points, they will know.""The software uses very few resources; it is almost invisible to the end user."

Cons
"Stable – Release – Experimental" system with their releases, and all the proper checks and balances, I’d be an incredibly happy individual. I can appreciate the cause and affect, wherein the customization of the tool drives rapid release schedules, and the paradox that creates with the idea of stable releases. I’d also like more transparency about known bugs and issues."

More Galvanize IncidentBond Cons →

"Maybe the notifications setting could use a simpler setting.""Many will try to use this as an out-of-the-box solution, however, it needs to be configured to fit what a company would like to do with it.""The price should be reduced in order to be more competitive in the market."

More SECDO Platform Cons →

"The solution needs better overall compatibility with other products.""They will most likely need to create or include a feature that checks the network.""Right now, Carbon Black CB Defense doesn't support cloud computing and Kubernetes.""The solution would be more effective if there was a way to block automatically based on behavior.""With the on-prem one, the bug has been reported by the community in early January or February, something like that, at the beginning of the year, and it's still not addressed. They have released two versions since then, and yet neither of them addresses this specific issue.""It could be a bit complicated. You have to be very familiar with Carbon Black to understand what it is doing and why it is doing. I would like to have more explanations and simplification in the user interface. It would be good to get help and see more explanations. It should tell us that a software is blocked and the reason for it. It would be good to be able to build chains in terms of what caused what, what worked, and what caused an issue. We are now moving from Carbon Black to Cortex XDR. While choosing antivirus software, we were also looking at Carbon Black because it also has an antivirus package, and it is next-generation, but we were told that Carbon Black doesn't support firewalls. We have Palo Alto firewalls. We would have chosen this solution if it supported firewalls, in particular next-generation firewalls, but unfortunately, it doesn't. Therefore, we decided on Cortex XDR because it integrates with Palo Alto firewalls.""In the next release, it would help if we can get better control over containers.""As far as I know, Carbon Defense has nothing that can be installed on mobile devices. It lacks a defense solution for mobile devices, especially mobile tablets. I would like to see support for mobile devices and the pricing should be less than the pricing for a normal workstation."

Pricing and Cost Advice
Information Not Available
  • "Be sure of the actual number of endpoints in your company."
  • "The price of this solution is the highest in the market, although there are no costs in addition to the standard licensing fees."
  • More SECDO Platform Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "The cost/benefit factor has great relevance in Cb Defense implementations."
  • "The cost is a considerable factor, but the benefit factor is the most important. When you compare it with other products, the price is high. Carbon Black will negotiate the price."
  • "I am not really involved in the pricing of this product. But, from my understanding, it is OK for us."
  • "Carbon Black might be a touch more expensive than Symantec. They tend to get a premium for their capabilities. They're sort of an industry leader in a lot of areas with the functionality that they provide."
  • "We have branches, we have different companies, but we cannot buy less than 100 licenses. This does not make sense to me... It should be more flexible. I can understand their saying, "Okay, to be a customer you need 100," but to add on to that number it should be something very straightforward. If I need to add five, for example, I shouldn't need to add 100."
  • "The pricing [is] more or less the same as other similar solutions."
  • "It's reasonable in price"
  • "The price for the solution is completely at government level, meaning one which is very high."

    Overview

Rsam’s Security Incident Response Platform (SIRP) simplifies and speeds monitoring and resolution. Our dynamic workflow can replicate any existing incident management process and allows you to make changes as your processes evolve - all from a single interface. Track the lifecycle of a security incident and coordinate actions quickly and with ease.

SECDO enables security teams to identify and remediate incidents fast. Using thread-level endpoint monitoring and causality analytics, SECDO provides visibility into every endpoint along with the context necessary for understanding whether a suspicious activity is a genuine threat. Unique deception techniques force threats like ransomware out into the open early, and trigger automated containment and remediation.

SECDO provides the most intuitive investigation experience available so you can quickly unravel complex incidents across the organization.  You can investigate incidents detected by SECDO as well as alerts from the SIEM. SECDO visualizes the attack chain so you immediately understand the “who, what, where, when and how” behind the incident. Then, based on an analysis of exactly how endpoints were compromised, SECDO surgically remediates the incident with minimum user impact.
