    Overview

The expectation of greater and more flexible visibility into data on the network is driving distributed data visibility requirements. Service Providers need to have the value of a cloud native experience with the reliability of carrier-grade platforms for their automation and visibility. Cloud-native systems are designed to embrace rapid change at large scale with resiliency built-in to produce value faster and focus on business objectives.

5G has changed the way Service Provider networks are designed with new use cases and associated data appearing at the mobile edge every day. Traditional visibility tools cannot adjust to the broader requirements of the cloud-native 5G architecture. Existing solutions often require an infrastructure change to adapt to new customer use cases which leads to a fragmented visibility solution, complexity, and additional cost.

Built from the ground up for a cloud-native world, the Extreme 9920 platform delivers an industry-changing network visibility platform based on cloud-native principles that is designed to integrate with and address the needs of the most reliable Service Provider environments.

Network packet brokers (NPBs) filter traffic to send only the right data to the right tool. Packets are aggregated and filtered from Layer 2 through to the application layer. Duplicate packets can also be removed and sensitive content stripped before the data is sent to the monitoring tools if that is required. This provides a better solution to improve the efficiency and utility of your monitoring tools.

    • Aggregates monitored traffic from multiple links and segments
    • Deep packet inspection and filtering grooms traffic to relieve overburdened monitoring tools
    • Extended burst protection, available with the Advanced Feature Module, offers traffic management, and protection to online businesses subject to bursts of activity
    • Installs, configures, and sends clean traffic to appliances in less than thirty minutes
    • Time stamping and data masking aid in compliance and working with sensitive data

Observer GigaStor is a network analysis tool that comes in a variety of form factors, including rack mount, portable, and virtual. Capable of storing up to a petabyte of traffic for later analysis, GigaStor helps ensure optimal network and application performance.
