We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It's pretty much the source of "the truth." Everything is together, everyone can see all the resources, financial projects, how long a project's going to take. Anybody can go in there and see any information they need about the organization as a whole.""I appreciate the report that shows how utilized a person is set to be within the coming months. I use that feature a good bit.""The interfaces for project management, portfolio management, and reporting services are always helpful.""Visibility is the number one feature. They can see where the bottlenecks are, they can see what their project statuses are, why are things being held up, etc.""For a very long time, Broadcom Clarity had not developed the old interface that Broadcom no and we were not able to see any new features on the system because of the older UEX. We switched to the new UX at the end of March and it needs some time for the user to react to the new features. But if overall main features are being talked about, the financial part of Clarity is really appreciated.""The solution is technically fine and user friendly.""We are able to track budgets, and with timesheets, actuals against budgets.""There were probably about five or six metrics that we used. As a result, the groups that I supported were consistently ranked at the absolute top of the organization, as we were leveraging these built-in tools for tracking."

"It increased productivity and timely delivery of projects within a set budget.""The primary uses for this tool are task delegation, generating reports, and on-time invoices."

More ProProfs Project Pros →

"Trello is not as complex as most of the other products are.""Project management and work collaboration solution with amazing scalability and stability. Its user interface is modern and easy to understand, with drag and drop functionality.""While Nasuni has a learning curve, it becomes user-friendly once mastered.""We found that the solution was available on multiple devices, has a great user experience, is simple to use, and it is available on multiple channels.""I think task management, prioritization, rankings, and collaboration features are useful.""Projects do not take as long and meetings take less time, since you know the status of developments or tests.""I appreciate the ease of creating boards and the flexibility it offers.""The most valuable features of the solution are that it is easy to use and flexible while offering the ease of use of drag-and-drop functionality for each task."

Cons
"I'd like to see blueprints. I'd also like to see the user interface simplified, and to have a lot of templates available on each blueprint.""The solution could improve the way the workflow is developed. I think they could be more dynamic because they are in a way static. They're very powerful, but they don't have any interaction with end-users.""Whenever that second instance of Clarity came about, it was overwhelming even to people who were accustomed to working with program management tools.""The Latin American support could be better due to the language barrier.""I would really like a modern UI. I do not want to get on a user interface and feel like I am in the 1990's.""There are some tool limitations. We had to create some of our own summary competencies to create more of an agile tool concept, or an agile team concept, that they did not really have.""Financials are okay, but there's a lot of room for improvement in financials.Financial plans, if those could be made so that you're not always grouping your financial data by predefined attributes, that would be helpful for us.""Could be using more updated technologies."

More Broadcom Clarity Cons →

"The timely reminders could be reduced from one mail a day to three mails in a week. This tends to fill up our inboxes a lot."

More ProProfs Project Cons →

"In the card area, you should not be able to modify so easily what is already written, as this can cause loss of information.""Trello cannot be integrated with other tools like Jira and Google Workspace.""Trello does not provide you with as many functionalities as Jira and various third-party integrations provided by these different platforms.""We cannot link tasks that are dependent on each other.""Pricing can be improved.""The tool should be able to predict the task completion dates based on the date assigned and sprint dates. It is also not commercial compared to competitors.""Users should be able to log their time against the tasks and visual reports should be available in Trello for time spent.""The mobile version of Trello can be improved upon."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "For all the functionalities of the solution, the price is in the market range, since it is a product which offers governance issues and supports the digital transformation, which is where we will go in the next year."
  • "Better understanding of requirements and how it will be implemented (with number of licenses for a given budget) would help."
  • "It is a little bit costly compared to others, but it is mature. Customer should understand this product is geared towards project management, not financial management."
  • "It is hard for them to say, "I have a person on my team who is going to be available, I am going to move that task to them". That requires a project management license, it doesn't require a team member license, so the licensing model does not sometimes support the way the business world is going."
  • "We're also moving to the latest version for less than $20,000 for a major corporate system. It's just amazing."
  • "Broadcom Clarity PPM costs us $500K, and that's only for the installation and kick off within the first year. For each succeeding year, it could cost $200K."
  • "There are different licensing models with Broadcom Clarity PPM. With the software as a service model, you pay as you go, and if you are on-premises, you can buy a perpetual license and an annual fee for maintenance."
  • "Cost-wise, the tool is very expensive and some tools might be able to cater to 80% of the functionality provided by Broadcom Clarity PPM but are not as expensive."

    Information Not Available
  • "Maybe it would be better if they offered some extra tiers, so you don't have to go all the way up to the pro level."
  • "I use the free version of Trello, which is sufficient for my day to day use."
  • "I am tinkering with the free version."
  • "The free version of Trello covers all of the bases and all of our needs, so there's no cost involved for us. This is surprising for such a quality platform with no limitations on the key functionalities, though it also has a paid version."
  • "Its pricing is good. It is about $6 per license for what we use, but then there are other plans as well, such as $12 a month. I would rate it a nine out of ten in terms of pricing."
  • "The pricing for this solution is reasonable."
  • "We are currently using the open-source option."
  • "Paying for the solution's license is worth it only if our enterprise or organization can use Trello, integrated with some other solution, and we can have good reports."
