Barracuda Phone System [EOL] Review

It saved us a lot of money when we switched from a hosted solution to Barracuda on-premises.


Valuable Features:

  • Easy to setup
  • Easy to maintain
  • Great support
  • You can use any SIP phone or softphones

Improvements to My Organization:

It saved us a lot of money when we switched from a hosted solution to Barracuda on-premises.

Room for Improvement:

It needs High Availability.

Deployment Issues:

There were some issues in our UK office because dialing abroad from there is different to dialing abroad from the US, but tech support customized the settings for us.

Stability Issues:

No issues encountered.

Initial Setup:

It couldn't be easier.

Cost and Licensing Advice:

It's cheaper when compared to other phone systems.

Other Solutions Considered:

  • iCore - hosted solution - too pricey
  • ShoreTel - a lot of different pieces of hardware needed
  • Mitel - great phone solution but expensive and you are locked into using their phones
  • Asterisk - complex setup and maintenance
