What is our primary use case?
Cavisson NetDiagnostics provides different monitors. This is useful when detecting errors in business transactions.
The application's CPU and memory overhead are very good from an application point of view.
It is very useful for the diagnostics of the application environment.
It has application logs for greater debugging purposes.
NetDiagnostics provides exceptions, StackTrace, methods call details, etc. This helps to do deep diagnostics at an application code level.
How has it helped my organization?
NetDiagnostics helps us to improve our application at the code level because of the different performance metrics available in the tool.
It provides dynamic profiling configuration in the ND Config UI feature, which helps a lot with the consolidation of important business transactions.
The dashboard customization and walk-through for seeing different monitoring graphs is very easy.
Its end-to-end dashboard provides information on all the integration callouts happening on the server side.
We can view all the DB queries and whatever exceptions occurs at application level. We can get those details as well.
What is most valuable?
Application end-to-end monitoring: This is one of the good features available in the tool, as it includes error detection, capturing exception, method calling tree, transaction flow map, etc. In addition, there are many more feature available to diagnose at the application level.
It monitors the server health, which is very good.
The dashboard can be configure easily to view performance metrics in one shot.
We can apply customized business transactions, as per our need.
It is SSO Okta authenticated.
What needs improvement?
They should provide all the information of the NetDiagnostics tool details on the Internet. Or, it will be good if they could upload the configuration and monitoring feature detail videos on YouTube .
REST API should be supported from the UI. As of now, it is supported from the CLI .
They can improve on providing "help and navigation" for each feature available in the UI.
In next release, I would like to see the application level monitor supported in some way.

It is quite easy to work with the tool. After the initial configuration and setup, the Cavisson team works on the automation of required configurations and the initial setup.
