What is our primary use case?
We use the Cisco Linksys Ethernet Switches for small purposes, such as setting up our test environment and running our tests. They're getting data from our tests. We are a manufacturing company, so when we manufacture a product, we test it. This is done using small private networks, which is where we use the Linksys switches.
What is most valuable?
The most valuable features are uptime and stability.
What needs improvement?
The manageability could be improved.
For how long have I used the solution?
We have been using the Cisco Linksys 7000 series for about a year.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Stability is good for these switches.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
We do not need scalability in the small, unmanaged, private networks that we use for testing. We have approximately 100 users in the company.
How are customer service and technical support?
We do not contact technical support directly. Rather, it is through a vendor or the partner from whom we bought it.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We did not use another solution prior to Cisco.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup was straightforward.
Our deployment took approximately three hours.
What about the implementation team?
We implemented this solution with our in-house team.
What other advice do I have?
These switches are good and I don't really have any complaints. There are, however, some technical limitations.
I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.
Which version of this solution are you currently using?
