IxVeriWave Review

Saves us plenty of time and resources

What is our primary use case?

I use this solution to evaluate access points. This is a specialized tool, only five people in our organization use it.

How has it helped my organization?

Without this solution, it takes roughly one to two weeks to evaluate an access point. With this solution, I can evaluate an access point in one day — this saves us a lot of time and resources.

What needs improvement?

I only need a small portion of what this solution includes. There should be a way to purchase specific parts of this solution — it's only the appliance that I want.

Also, as it's quite a specialized tool, I think they should try and make it easier to use for people who are not very tech-savvy.

The software is not very easy to install. In the next release, we should be able to connect to the equipment via a web browser. This would make it easier to download and install files. Currently, it's only compatible with Windows; it's not compatible with Mac and Linux. If we could connect via a browser, perhaps any OS would be sufficient.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using IxVeriWave for roughly two years.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The scalability is very good.

How are customer service and technical support?

The technical support is very helpful.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup was very complicated because we didn't know the solution. You need to understand and have some knowledge about the solution in order to use it and set it up properly. After the first time, it gets much easier.

What about the implementation team?

Although deployment is very quick, the configuration can be a little complex.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The price fluctuates quite a bit — it should be more stable.

What other advice do I have?

This solution is very specialized. In order to use it properly, you must have some serious technical knowledge.

Overall, on a scale from one to ten, I would give this solution a rating of nine. It's not perfect, but it's very helpful at this moment.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
