Microsoft OneDrive Review

Feature-rich and provides good security for our individual backups

What is our primary use case?

We primarily use OneDrive for storing our SharePoint files. Sometimes, we use it for individual backup and server backup.

What is most valuable?

OneDrive has so many features that I haven't been through them all yet.

The security features are good for the company's privacy.

They have support for integration with a lot of tools. However, I have not fully studied what is available because I have not used it enough.

What needs improvement?

The security is not as flexible as it is with Dropbox, which means that we can't share our OneDrive files.

The price is quite high and it should be reduced.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Microsoft OneDrive for two years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

We haven't experienced problems with bugs or glitches.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Scalability has not been an issue for us. We have about 90 users in our group.

How are customer service and technical support?

So far, technical support has been okay.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We also have experience with Dropbox.

What about the implementation team?

A technical person from our in-house team set up OneDrive for us.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

This is a pricy solution, given that we are only using it at 50% capacity.

What other advice do I have?

So far, OneDrive has been very good for us. It is more than enough for a basic user and I can recommend it.

I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Public Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Microsoft Azure
