Microsoft Remote Desktop Services Review

Easy to use, and provides for application sharing

What is our primary use case?

We primarily use this product for application virtualization and application sharing.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature is the ease of use.

What needs improvement?

I would like to be able to access the remote desktop using a web-based interface, rather than having to use the client.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working with Microsoft Remote Desktop Services for six years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

We have no trouble with stability at the moment.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

This is a scalable product. We have about 200 people who are using Office applications.

How are customer service and technical support?

We have local Microsoft technical support and we have never faced any serious problems.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have used similar products by different vendors and the difference between Microsoft and the others is the client. Microsoft needs to have the client installed, whereas other vendors use a web-based interface.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Although not an expensive product, pricing is always something that can be improved.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Hybrid Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Microsoft Azure
