Parasoft Development Testing Platform Review

Active Directory authorisation through LDAP is valuable but integration with other tools would be welcomed.

Valuable Features

Ease of use and administration. Active Directory authorisation through LDAP.

Improvements to My Organization

The Parasoft Concerto has enabled the company's test teams to automate the most common and trivial tests which is saving time and delivering consistency.

Room for Improvement

Integration with other tools (e.g. JIRA, statistics for Splunk) would be welcomed.

Use of Solution

Over 1 year

Deployment Issues

Deployment was fast and smooth - no issues encountered.

Stability Issues

Working as expected. One service - easy to check and monitor.

Scalability Issues

Needs individual licence for every new slot which requires a code to be provided by the vendor and activated manually.

Customer Service and Technical Support

Customer Service:

Good enough.

Technical Support:

Basic but enough.

Initial Setup

The initial setup is following the standard installation process with a few prompts for DB settings, LDAP etc. I would say quite a straightforward process.

Implementation Team

Have been working with vendor SME in-house which I find knowledgeable and assisting.

Other Advice

You can name the application internally (e.g. Automap, TT1) to reduce confusion if someday a new instance is required. Even though it is a small app creating separate Active Directory group(s) to manage app access and permissions level could pay off from managing and troubleshooting point of view.
