RSA Identity Governance and Lifecycle Review

Roles and connectors for provisioning help govern user access but UI and workflow need improvement

How has it helped my organization?

Organizational role management: By defining the roles it made our job easier for new-hire provisioning by automatically granting/creating the tickets necessary for the job role.

What is most valuable?

  • Roles
  • Connectors for provisioning
  • Re-accreditation or reviews

These help greatly to govern user access.

What needs improvement?

  • User interface
  • Workflow
  • More connectors

For how long have I used the solution?

Three to five years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Yes, it depends on your architecture design. If you use the appliance version then it won't handle a huge database volume.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Yes, there are scalability issues. This product does not scale very well. It is not a good product for load balancing / active–active architecture.

How was the initial setup?

Simple and straightforward.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Pricing varies based on user count/number of modules you need.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Before RSA we evaluated SailPoint, CA Identity Governance.

What other advice do I have?

This is a good product for a small-scale organization.

Disclosure: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.
