I have been in this game of ERP for a while now. It all boils down to UET! The more these ERPs are user friendly the more they would be preferred. Take the case of QuickBooks; I for one thought it wouldn't survive into 21st century. Here we are Intuit is the Apple of accounting world. Its user friendly, Excellent customer & technical services and provides a decent level of reporting and control features.
