PCM is a tool for master data management or enterprise information management used to build and maintain a unique and clean master entity that is free from problems associated with data quality.

Valuable Features:

• PCM is a tool used to manage, predict, and monitor multi-year data projects, and avoid failure of programs. • PCM updates businesses on compliance regulations and has the capability of saving businesses a lot of money, and therefore, data integration costs are greatly reduced. • PCM allows businesses to work on governance of data that may have been put aside, and assists with service oriented architecture. • PCM solves data issues with enterprise project management and projects of business intelligence.

Room for Improvement:

Purchasing this tool was quite expensive. It requires skills and knowledge to use it, as well as time, but you can start only with the attributes that you need.

Other Advice:

PCM is a very important tool in creating a reliable customer data source that is centralized with no duplicates, thus increasing master data redundancy. Master data is the data entities that cannot be transacted. It ensures that there is control and consistency in all processes involved. PCM can also be used in data collection, consolidation, distribution, storage, and classification, as well as detection and correction of errors.Our customer data is now redundant, as we had duplicate data.
