SAS Analytics Review

Good reporting and technical support, and it has the right cost-benefit balance

What is our primary use case?

Our primary use case is analytics and reporting in our production area.

What needs improvement?

One of the things that can be simplified is self-service analytics, especially for a citizen developer or a citizen data scientist. It should be easier to use.

It should be easier to migrate from the on-premises deployment to the cloud version.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have been using SAS Analytics for at least 15 years.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

We have approximately 1,000 users in our organization.

How are customer service and technical support?

The technical support is okay. If we have problems, they can fix them.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We also have SAP Analytics in place.

How was the initial setup?

Being an on-premises installation, it is somewhat complex.

What about the implementation team?

We have an in-house team of six people who take care of deployment and maintenance.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I think that the cost-benefit ratio is okay. It is the right balance.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

At the time, we looked over some of the other products on the market and ultimately decided on SAS.

What other advice do I have?

In summary, this is a good product and I can recommend it to others.

I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
