Veritas System Recovery Review

This solution enables me to restore an image. It needs an easier interface.

What is our primary use case?

The primary use case is that we take an image of the whole server, whether it's virtual or physical and then in case it's needed, restore the whole image.

How has it helped my organization?

It's much faster to restore the image than to install Windows and software by itself.

What is most valuable?

You can back up the whole image, not just files and folders, but the image from the server, and you can restore the whole image.

What needs improvement?

This solution needs an easier interface that is more comprehensible.  Also, sometimes we have issues with restoring images when we initialize the servers. In addition, the reliability is sometimes lacking when restoring the image.

How was the initial setup?

It was not straightforward, it was somewhat complex.  I would give it a rating of eight out of ten regarding the setup.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I have been looking at Clonezilla, which is a kind of freeware software based on Linux system, and then I looked at Acronis.
