Homemade solution, too complex and lacking flexibility / features.

It was straightforward.

In-house, but a vendor team could have expedited the initial setup.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

No, the product was already used in another business unit.

What other advice do I have?

This is just a technical tool, take time to redesign processes too.

How long was the other business unit already using XL Deploy before there was enough confidence to bring it enterprise wide?
