Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud Initial Setup

IT
Group CIO at a construction company with 10,001+ employees

The product's initial setup phase needs some skills, but once you learn to do it by yourself, you won't need any support.

The deployment process involves first defining the account and then assigning and installing all the agents on all the Machines you want to deploy the solution on and then selecting whether you want the backup to be done locally, on the cloud, or both.

The solution is deployed on the cloud.

One or two people who operate as admins or engineers in the company are needed to take care of the product's deployment and maintenance.

Essentially, deploying this is a straightforward process, and just one or two technically proficient individuals are sufficient for the task. It's user-friendly, and various installation methods are available, including deployment via Active Directory on a local server. It's not a complex undertaking and can be managed by a small team. I would rate the initial setup seven out of ten.

The setup is relatively easy. However, deploying the server to manage the end user does require some tricks, but overall, it's easy. The deployment takes three minutes to complete. I rate the process an eight.

The solution is very simple to set up. It's not complex at all.

If the deployment is not included in the initial setup it will take just in one day, since it's a SaaS platform.

The maintenance can be handled by between two to five people.

I would rate the product's initial setup an eight out of ten. The tool's deployment takes two to three days to complete and depends on the customer's databases. We do the installation once we understand the customer's scope.

The product's installation phase was easy.

The solution is deployed on the cloud and on an on-premises model.

The solution's deployment phase doesn't take much time, and it is something that depends on the environment where it is getting deployed. The deployment takes ten to fifteen minutes to be completed.

It was really easy. The manageability and access are simple on a daily basis. The installation and implementation take around thirty minutes. However, to properly deploy and set it up, it may take two or more days.

It doesn't require any maintenance. The data is automatically handled.

The solution is easy to set up. If you implement through EverCloud, the deployment is quick. You send a link to the client, install it locally, and gain complete access to client control. The deployment time depends on the complexity. A workstation setup can be quick, taking just three days for a full disk and engine backup. However, if you opt to store data in their Acronis Cloud, it can become quite expensive.

The initial setup is straightforward.

In our situation, although it was straightforward, it was quite complex in that we had to get all of our customers onto the system. We deployed it over a year, but that was because we were migrating lots of backup systems into one product.

Acronis Backup Cloud has a straightforward setup process. It takes about ten minutes to set it up.

Because I'm using the cloud version of the solution, I only need to ask the client what features he wants to be enabled on his account. I then enable the features, claim the email address, then do some configurations. It will then take five minutes to access the portal.

What takes a bit more time is onboarding devices to Acronis Backup Cloud. For example, if you have ten machines, you must onboard each machine to the solution.

It is easy to deploy. I don't even need to use the documentation to do it. It does not take a lot of time. A new server takes half a day.

Its deployment is very easy with Active Directory or via the management console. You can control and monitor where it fails. It is very easy to use and understand. I just play with the interface, and it is very easy to do things.

If you see the solution, using the renewals and everything, one can easily deploy it, depending on the requirement. For a backup related to the app, if you need a little bit of help from an expert, Acronis can help. But for us, it's easy to manage. Once deployed, you will never need to consider anything.

The initial setup was very straightforward. I think you have to create a well-thought-out plan moving forward. You can run some tests that will show you your protection score. You will be able to see how much your machine is vulnerable to the outside environment.

The initial setup is fairly straightforward. I'd rate it seven out of ten in terms of ease of use.

It just took us probably two weeks to deploy everything.

Basically, we just did a backup for all our critical servers first, and then after we did a disaster recovery, the process was smooth.

I'd rate the ease of setup a 7.5 out of ten.

We need about three people to handle the deployment. One is for the network as a network engineer, one for systems, and one for computing.

The on-premises setup is a bit complex. There is a hardware setup that requires an engineer. Certain skill sets are needed to maintain the solution and make it work.

The setup was simple for a cloud system. If it is done by a technical person, installation could take one to two hours.

The initial setup is straightforward. It's very easy.

The amount of time deployment takes depends on how the architecture was designed previously. It depends on the studies, etc., which are supposed to be taken into consideration before the implementation. If everything has been sized and studied well, implementation, depending on the size of the existing infrastructure, could take from a few hours to many days. In summary, it really depends on the size of the company, the workload which should be taken into consideration, and how the study has been put in place before starting the implementation.

You only need one person for deployment and maintenance.

The initial setup is not complex. I would say that it is quite easy and simple to do.

If you are setting up a cloud backup then the clients can be backing up their data within minutes, or perhaps within an hour. The speed at which the initial backup completes is dependent on the bandwidth that they have available, but in terms of getting it up and running, it can be done within an hour.
