Acunetix Scalability

I think it needs to expand to other operating systems because most organizations use a Linux- based environment, which it currently doesn't support. I think that's a big problem.

It offers excellent scalability capabilities. You have the flexibility to adjust your usage based on workload demands and it becomes a valuable and frequently used tool to accommodate the increased workload when multiple projects come in. I would rate it nine out of ten.

For such services, scalability is not relevant because you just scan your service and make a document of the problems that you have. After that, you have to take care of them and fix them. So, it's not like other services that have to be working 24/7. You only run it and receive information.

Its users vary because in some companies, the web is under the IT team, and in some companies, the web is under security, CISO, or something like this. It depends on how much personnel the company has to manage these tools.

The solution is scalable if you use the cloud version. You will face limitations with RAM and processor on the desktop.

It seems to be scalable. Right now, we are just using it at our primary locations and and are scanning about 25 different apps. We are looking at the process of being able to scan more than one app simultaneously. It should fit our needs going forward.

The scalability was okay. We didn't need to do much work to implement it into the network or some web applications, so I think it's really easy to scale. We didn't need to do work on it because the solution is adaptable to every environment.

There were about 20 websites and other web applications.

We are only using Acunetix as a secondary solution. We already employ Qualys as our primary solution but that was getting overworked. We needed to relieve it of some of the workload that we were sending it. What we did was look at a solution like Acunetix to help supplement some of the work that Qualys is doing for us. But since it is a secondary tool, scalability was never really an issue because we weren't asking the solution to scale at all.

The scalability of the solution is quite good. We've never faced any issues with scaling.

Currently, 15 people use the solution in our organization. They're all developers and consultants. We use it every day.

The scalability has moved along nicely and been able to keep up with the expansion of our website and the added targets. However, with a dynamic scanner, the scans take longer as the site gets larger. So, there is more tweaking here and there about what would be best in how to speed up the scans and what we really need to include when we are scanning. This is quite easy to adjust: How we are going to be scanning and what we are going to be scanning.

We have 15 plus targets. We set them up on a schedule, so we can get the most scans here and there on a continuous line. We have eight people currently using it.

I have not yet used the product to test extremely huge and complex web sites. For "normal" ones the performance is acceptable, even if sometimes it seems "stuck" at a certain scan percentage. In this case, normally I just wait and later it will advance again.

We don't scan more than 35 solutions, but we are always working on improving them and, whenever an improvement comes up, we scan it.

We initially decided that it was going to be deployed on a central server and we didn't look into the scalability. We set up the environment and we have been using it for some time. We haven't come across the need for scalability.

We have five usernames for Acunetix, but most of the time only two of them are being used. Generally, in a week, we may conduct five or six tests. We don't have much load on it. We do intend to expand the number of users in another six months' time with an additional three or four users, as we are expecting more application testing in that time.
