Adaptive Insights Room for Improvement
In the software, there's always opportunities, and there continues to be usually, every twice a year, there's two big releases, and they've just done one now. But separately, some of the areas of opportunities for Adaptive Planning to be able to do a little bit more on performance. The high-level performance of data volume allocations is probably an area that could be improved upon.
The integrations could be simpler. It takes quite a bit of internal and IT know-how to set up.
So, there could be room for just improving the integrations, making it easier to integrate outside systems within the tool.

Adaptive Insights could improve the data designer interface to make integrations easier to set up.
View full review »Adaptive Insights has a limit of 1,00,000 rows for HTML reports. It should be improved because we will have multiple dimensions that need to be populated to enhance the image.
View full review »Adaptive has come a long way each year and continues to improve. Users continue to become more advanced and are looking for more advanced solutions. Adaptive does a good job keeping up with these ever changing improvements.

- Ability to customize privacy of salary data within a level.
The planning functionalities are the weakest part of Adaptive Insights. Everything that is automatic is done by formulas and there is only so much logic which you can build within these formulas. The upload feature exists, but isn't terribly useful.
View full review »Still room for improvement:
- Discovery (the data visualization module): Needs to catch up with BI leaders, such as MS and Tableau. E.g., sorting by amounts in column charts and page slicers to control all visuals.
- Planning: two areas.
- Need to have the function of importing formulas, which has been encouraged for more than five years by the author, but still lacking.
- Modeled sheet has some limitations. It is not version specific, meaning upgrading formulas for the new year budgeting will leave unintended retroactive impact on prior years' budgets. Same with dimensions. I would love to have them be version specific rather than keeping changing.
Pricing can be made better affordable to SMEs. Every year price increase is an issue.
View full review »Flexibility with lighter, quicker planning. It is a great opportunity to plan at a detailed level, but sometimes you need to look at high-level options.
