How has it helped my organization?

* Reliable WiFi across each floor. * Segmented networks. * VLANs for security. * Much better environment for our users. * We have been able to physically and virtually separate IoT, voice, and data.

What needs improvement?

Need port aggregation on the 2384 switches to take full advantage of ac on the APs. I understand that is on their product road map. The Aerohive access points have dual 1GB Ethernet ports for aggregation, which enables full 2.6Gbps data.... more»

What is most valuable?

The ability to manage the wifi from the cloud and not needing to have an on premise controller is great. Great support as well.

How has it helped my organization?

With our previous wifi system it was on premise and end of life. We were unable to get any more updates for it and with Cloud wifi there are no hardware limits and we also were able to expand mac authentication to 500 users vs. 125 with our... more»

What needs improvement?

There could be better alerts setup for the access points. I also wish there was a way to track users roaming from access point to access point. It would also be great to have better interference assistance.

* Dashboard with up-to-date stats and graphs. * Creating Network policies, which allows you to make changes once and push them to all APs. * Use Maps to organize your APs.

How has it helped my organization?

Our previous solution had various issues - we went from a centralized wifi solution and converted to the Aerohive solution. This in the cloud solution is very practical as each device is not dependent from one device to the next.

What needs improvement?

I support several points of service, but our billing is centralized. As our points of service placed their purchases, the yearly maintenance fees were not dated all the same. It created a headache trying to deal with several maintenance fees... more»
