It allows users to effectively interact with both upstream and downstream systems. By serving as a proactive indicator for priority-one or severity-one incidents, it helps users address issues before they become major problems. 

The experiences with pricing, setup cost, and licensing for AlertSite vary. Some users stated that they have an annual contract with AlertSite, however, the cost is high. Others mentioned that their company pays to use AlertSite, yet they are unsure of the exact costs as it depends on the number of monitors.

The primary use case of AlertSite is for synthetic monitoring, which includes navigating to website logins, saving searches, and using a feature called Deja-Click to create recordings and configure them to the website. 

It is also used for URL checks, TCP connections, API monitoring, HTTP monitoring, and other monitoring requirements depending on internal applications. AlertSite can be used for URL monitoring, multistep transaction-based monitoring, and monitoring the availability of portals and intranets. 

The customer service and support of AlertSite is generally satisfactory. The documentation provided is readily available and can be helpful for resolving basic issues. However, the response time of their technical support during weekends is a concern. On weekdays, the response time is quick, and there is an on-call number for contacting them. It is recommended to inform the support team in advance for updates during weekends, which may take some time to schedule. 

Despite not being available 24/7 and being located in the United States, technical support is rated positively by some users. However, there are also some negative experiences where tickets were not properly addressed, indicating that support can be difficult at times. 

For on-premise servers, there was some coordination required with the support team to receive the hardware and work with the network security team to open the firewall. Once these steps were completed, the setup was straightforward. 

The deployment of AlertSite only requires one person for about an hour or two of work. The time it takes for the initial setup depends on the availability of the internal team and any required SLAs. 

Users found the initial setup to be easy and straightforward, with a user-friendly interface. The setup time varied, with some users being able to set up one monitor in just a few minutes, while others experienced delays and a longer setup process, taking a few days or even weeks. The setup process was deemed simple enough for an intermediate person to handle with the help of knowledge or documents.

AlertSite has good scalability. It has already been successfully scaled within the company and is easy to scale. The tool allows for increasing the number of hardware based on requirements. The solution is scalable within the SaaS environment. However, there have been some issues with scalability in the on-premise infrastructure, requiring the setup of maximum capacity benchmarks. AlertSite allows for the easy addition of users and monitors.

AlertSite is generally considered stable and reliable. While there have been a few instances where it may not have been stable, most of the time it works perfectly. Users have not had any concerns about the stability of AlertSite, whether it is used in SaaS prioritized locations or with on-premise set-ups. The performance of AlertSite as a platform is good, with no failures reported. However, there is a suggestion that addressing performance on the application level and providing better support could enhance its usability.
