What is most valuable?

The most valuable part of the solution is the machine learning part. The second feature that we use most is big data connectivity. When we deployed the architecture, we directed our IDS (Intrusion Detection System) server to where the big data will be on our servers. Then we needed some kind of… more»

How has it helped my organization?

While the product has not yet improved our organization, we expect to use it in full deployments with our clients to greatly reduce their costs and make our services more attractive.

What needs improvement?

One thing that I found was that in the open-source version of the KNIME analytics platform, we see difficulties in scheduling jobs. If the scheduler could be updated in the open-source version, the software will be easier to schedule properly and to use efficiently. The second time that I faced… more»

What other advice do I have?

We have done a few projects with some of our clients in KNIME. In these cases, we mainly used KNIME because of its ability to work in a data center environment in an enterprise system. This was one of the most important things that we were looking for. The second point was that KNIME is an… more»

What needs improvement?

I think it is a fairly straightforward interface generally. It is an easy-to-use solution compared to SAS Enterprise Miner, for example. On the other hand, compared to some other products, maybe the UI could be enhanced. The visual… more»

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The current licensing cost is advertised on the website. The client only has to pay the licensing costs. There are not any maintenance or hidden costs in addition to the license.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I had previously used other solutions but not as a part of this company. It was a matter of who I was working for.

What other advice do I have?

On a scale from one to ten where one is the worst and ten is the best, I would rate RapidMiner as around a seven. I choose seven because of the UI things and other parts of the product that might be improved. RapidMiner is more of an… more»

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I used to work with a company where we sold a variety of products as system integrators. So I compared some product because we had to evaluate them to know the advantages and differences. At that time, we got to the stage where we were… more»

What is most valuable?

I like the interface, which is probably my favorite part of the solution. It is really user-friendly. I might think that it is user-friendly because I'm in IT and it seems familiar to me. It is colorful and I think it is really beautiful and well-designed.

What needs improvement?

I think the interface is very nice, but for somebody who is not as familiar with IT as I am, it may be much more difficult for them. It is nice for me because I'm familiar with this type of software that falls in the realm of the data science platform. I can see how a client who really doesn't know… more»

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We did not use other solutions before switching so much as we are using a few different solutions together. We use Knime and Alteryx for data science and analytics. I just use Dataiku for data migration for now. I just started using Knime, but I'm most familiar with Alteryx because I have used it… more»

What other advice do I have?

Dataiku is a very broad solution that offers many possibilities. If you want to use it you must be fully committed to it. The biggest lesson I learned from using the product is that you can do many things with it. But you must commit the time to discover the tool. On a scale from one to ten where… more»
